A couple of weeks ago, I planted a few beans - and then forgot all about them.
Now we all know how kids are taught in schools how to grow beans in damp cotton wool - watching the development as the bean would split and the first shoot would appear.
I think that beans were used as they are quick to germinate and the kids were able to see the progress very quickly without losing interest.
After some good rains lately (thankfully for the cape) everything in the garden is showing new growth and as I took a look around, I spotted - yes you have guessed it - my beans had sprung up!
I was thrilled - just like kids must have felt with their own bean experiments and it made me realize that we never lose that feeling of awe when seeing growth pushing up through the soil.
good job my bro !
Thanks for reading my post

I love it when people show enthusiasm for their gardens. It renews my faith that all is right with the world!
Gardens keep us sane I think.
👍 I think so too!
So cool! I love growing beans hope they do well :)
fingers crossed.
Very cool for such a short amount of time! And without any kind of maintenance too!
Yes indeed - especially for impatient gardeners like me.
Those are really strong beans, I believe the rain helps a lot, that's what happen to my garden, so alive now.
Yes the rain makes a huge difference
