RE: My Bean Experiment

Thanks, 'lizziesworld' your post is most valuable to the public.

Some words about Bean Experiment- In Florence, an experiment to show that a bean can interact and feel emotions

Bean experimentPlants are able to feel and perceive the external world and interact with it in a constant, sensitive and intelligent way. This is what Stefano Mancuso, internationally renowned scientist and founder of plant neurobiology, claims. If you were lucky enough to read one of his books or listen to one of his brilliant interventions, surely you will have been surprised and fascinated by his words and you will have started to look at plants with different eyes.

Every vegetable grower has a reciprocal exchange relationship with his vegetables: "I take care of you and you will nourish me in return" and then the gardener respects the plant, tries to understand it, understand it and satisfy its needs. But here it goes further: the plants feel the emotions and have with us a relationship much deeper than we can imagine.

To prove it, the artist Carsten Holler and Stefano Mancuso have developed an extraordinary experiment in Florence within the beautiful Palazzo Strozzi. "The Florence Experiment" is an event that combines art and science and studies the interaction between plants and human beings. The project consists of a large and spectacular slide, 20 meters high, built in the courtyard of the Florentine palace. Every day a part of the visitors can make the vertiginous descent carrying a bean seedling.

After the descent, the bean will be returned to a team of scientists who will analyze the photosynthetic parameters and the molecules emitted as a reaction to the descent. Those of us who have participated in the experiment will instead have to fill out a small form to mark the age, sex and sensation felt: fright, euphoria, fun. At the end of the exhibition, the results will be divulged that I will not fail to communicate with you.

Wow that is so interesting - I am going to read up on Stephano Mancuso and the "Florence Experiment"
I have always felt that we are connected to all plants.
Thank you so much for your input.
