Christmas Eve Birthday Fun // Met Ultah Anakku Sayang <3

Hi Again Friends :D

I will come online more often after January 1st, I guess. I am still on holiday-mood, offline most of the time, so I have not been visiting yours much, sorry. It's the holiday, I tell ya, taking my precious Steemit time away lol

Although my husband has returned to work, my school babe is home, so yeah, time mostly spent with the boys, making sure they don't kill each other, you know, mom life lol

My youngest turned 5 on Christmas eve, and he specifically requested for Bad Piggies cakes, weeks in advance. Just like last year's birthday, this year he also requested "just simple cakes, mommy", as long as it would be Bad Piggies, the King Pig character most especially :)

Halo Teman, Jumpa Lagi Nih :D

Aku belum banyak keliling, masih dalam rangka liburan nih wkwkwkwk Suamiku sih sudah balik kerja, tapi anak-anak semua dirumah, jadi masih bisa berleha-leha, ga perlu grasa-grusu antar sekolah lah, memBABU lah, selama mereka ga bandel, enak banget deh jadi emak-emak hihihii

Oia. Tanggal 24 kemarin tuh anakku yang bungsu ulang tahun yang ke lima, ga terasa deh, dah lima tahun aja nih si dia. Kasihannya tuh karena di luar negeri kalau dah dekat Natalan, dan tanggal 24 itu dianggap Hari Malam Natal, jadi lah ga mungkin ga ada yang sibuk. Sehingga kalau kamu mau adakan pesta ultah, teman-teman yang diundang pada ga bisa datang. Dengan kata lain, anakku yang bungsu ini ultahnya ga pernah dirayakan euy. Hanya selalu dengan ibu bapaknya serta kakak sulungnya.
Sepertinya habis Tahun Baruan ntar deh baru bisa sering-sering online di Steemit lagi. Namun jangan khawatir, saat aku online, pasti deh tengok-tengok blog teman-teman yang sudah menggunakan tagar #nusantara :)

We always try to make super awesome 3-dimensional cake because you know, nobody would come to a birthday party when Christmas is here, so we had never really throw him a birthday party where his friends would come over, sadly. Understandably all parents are busy with Christmas, so no kids could drive themselves to our place, right? lol So yeah, to compensate that, we always try to make 3-D cakes instead.

Untungnya dia ga terlalu rewel meski kadang yah juga nanya sih, kok ga ada teman yang datang. Waduh, trenyuh kalau anak kecil berujar begitu kan. Anyway busway. Tahun ini dia minta dibuatkan kue bertemakan Bad Piggies, tau kan? Mainan di komputer ataupun di HP hihihihi

Tiap tahun kami usahakan untuk membuat kue sesuai kemauan dia, karena yah itu dia, kan ga pernah bisa dipestakan wkwkwkw Jadi apa tuan mau, tuan dapat ;-)

But yeah, heaps glad he did not request a complicate cake to make, but a simple one as pictured :) Took me 2 hours top from making the buttercream, fondant, to finishing the cake, so I was happy.

Since he asked for 2 cakes, and King Ping must be one, I decorated the other one with Santa's hat, because....Christmas eve lol

Karena ulang tahun dia bertepatan dengan Malam Natal, disamping karakter King Pig yang merupakan favorit dia, aku hias salah satunya ala topi Sinterklas. Ga neko-neko amat, yang penting bos besar senang wkwkwk

Normally, he would not let anyone touch his cake. We would never cut his cake because he would cry so badly. So I always had to bake additional cake or cupcakes for us to enjoy after blowing candle(s). This year, as soon as he blew off the candle, he asked for a slice. I did not anticipate that, so I did not cover the outer cake with thick buttercream! Instead I piped thick buttercream on the cupcakes I provided, but nope, he wanted to eat the King Pig lol

Biasanya tuh, segala kue yang aku buat untuk ulang tahun kemarin-kemarin, ga boleh dipotong sama si bungsu. Kalau dipotong untuk dimakan gitu, nangis ga karuan deh. Jadi seringnya aku buat kue cadangan ataupun cupcake, biar bisa dimakan. Eeeeh....tahun ini berbeda. Dia minta kuenya dipotong :D Padahal tuh yah, aku ga kasih banyak krim di kue, melainkan di cupcake hahaha Soalnya kirain dia ga mau potong lagi nih seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya.

We (the four of us) had fun playing with balloons and whatnot. They boys had fun with helium voice :P And my youngest decorated his lunch plate himself. He grabbed whatever he wanted on the table onto his plate, and voila, what a masterpiece, seriously. He decorated it nicely hahahha

Selain kue tentunya tak ketinggalan balon dan juga tumpeng nasi uduk :)
