*By the foot of Mt . Meza
Leisurely flows a rivulet;
The exile's pining from the forest
For Golden City - a promising land
Sacred stupas stand gracefully
On sky - touching hilltops:
Fulgent Zabucemi of King Bodaw,
Glorious Gugyi, so as to start counting,
Princely Shwelinpin, Shwechinthage
Shweceti the Great ,and Snake pagoda
Ah, how splendid! Majestic!

Glittering Golden Palace's their amidst.
With a pricking desire
To worship all these pagodas,
Here's the City! There the stupas!
Yonder the Golden Palace! he pictures
For too far's the Golden City.
