Effort, a word that vastly affect the relationship between two amorous individual. PROMISE, a word that needs to be proven and must be held with truth and must be spoken with all your hearts. FOREVER, a word that exist and only some amorous individuals make it happen.
In a relationship, aside from LOVE, EFFORT is one of the biggest contributor in having a successful relationship. Without effort, how can someone show to his/her partner the essence of loving nor the real feeling of tangible affection?
Things will get easier when both party is doing effort and TRUST between the two will grow even more firm. Giving your partner a gift doesn’t require to be an expensive thing. Even the smallest thing that is built with EFFORT will give them the sweetest smile that you will ever saw.
Both party must know how to make effort to show to their partner how they truly love their beloved one. But what if only one is doing effort? Can we call it LOVE to each other? Or should we call it one-sided LOVE?
Let’s take this story.
I know someone who has been together for almost 4 years. They’ve been thru different ups and downs. No problem was difficult to them as long as they are together. They were something I admire the most for having such relationship.

They made PROMISES to each other. Everything was planned including their future. By the look and the way they act, you can see how much they love each other. They truly is a couple worthy of being followed. They surpass everything in their way but, everything was thru the boy’s effort. No days have passed that the boy didn’t show how much she love the girl. The girl did show some effort but most of the time, it’s the boy who take more action. It’s a way acceptable if we will just imagine but as for someone worth thinking, relationship must function with the interaction of both party which means, both of them must function in order that the relationship will grow and become stronger.

They say boys aren’t supposed to cry because they are created to be stronger than women and boys who cries are not worthy of their sex or they can be simply called gay. This man changes my view of this belief.
He always cried when they argue. Even the smallest issue that needs only talking and can be solved by simple things are argued and this woman always bring things up to worst. His pride were stepped by the female. He shuts his mouth and ask for the female’s forgiveness no matter if who has mistaken.
One time I saw the boy running away for the girl and he was shedding tears. The female stood up and had chitchat with her friends. It was the worst scenario I saw between the two of them. I was thinking that the girl would follow the boy but she didn’t. A few minutes later, the boy went back and plead in front of the girl and ask for her forgiveness. I thought boys are superior when it comes to relationship but at that very moment, everything has changed. It was that time when a boy who truly loves a woman shows up and only few of that kind exist.

The two of them argued a lot and every action to solve their problem was handled by the boy. It may be the right thing to do but what if the girl made her mistake? Does she need to say sorry and make things up? OF COURSE NO! (For their status). The boy always ask for forgiveness and the girl stand still holding and raising her pride.
TRUE LOVE. It was the secret of the boy for having that almost 4 years relationship. But was that true love enough for their relationship to go on? EFFORT do counts. In a relationship, effort must come from both party. No matter what happen, both of them must take action to solve their problems. It’s not only the boy to make things up nor the girl to do the effort but it must came from the two party to settle things up.
Time has come the boy finally gave up and broke up with the girl. Even rubber bands only have limited elasticity. He was so tired of understanding the attitude of his partner. It was the time when even his studies were already affected by the problems brought by their relationship.

Even at the last time, even the time for him to release and break up with the girl, he pleaded and humbly tell her that he cannot take it anymore. He needs rest and freedom from all the hurts and pain. He cannot withstand everything. He is truly in pain.

He shed his last tears with those words. He was asking for forgiveness and a proper break up with the girl. It was then the time when the female cried. It was my first time seeing the female cry. It was not a fake tears. She was asking the boy to come back and even tell him that she couldn’t find another boy like him. It was the time when the female realizes how much the boy really means to me. It was also the time when the boy finally made his final decision. Thou it hurts so much on his side, it was for the best. It was for him to finally free himself from the chain of sorrow.
The girl wants the boy back but it was too late. She cannot turn back the time when the boy was so madly in love with her. The time were her smile is the only thing the boy ever wanted. The time were her hugs is all the boy wanted. The times when the boy only wanted the presence and effort of the girl to make her world turns.
It was the end of their relationship. The almost four years of love and pain was gone. It was only EFFORT that the boy wanted from the girl and nothing more and nothing less. But it was the thing the girl forgot to give.
I know everything about their relationship because I was the boy in this article. Yes, I am. No need to mention the girl because I already forgot her. I was already 2 years when we separated. As of today, I am free from the sorrow of yesterday. I hope she already found a boy that is much better than me.
It is really the EFFORT that counts in a relationship. It must be driven by both party to attain equilibrium in their relationship. It is for them to live a longer bond and make it grow bolder and stronger.
