How being a mother teaches me to be more selfless

Selfless means having or showing more concern for other people and little or no concern for yourself. This thing I have been practicing when I was growing up as our parents trained us to be but sometimes I failed to so due to some circumstances. My mother would say "You will know what being selfless means once you have a child"

Now that I am already a mother, my child cause me to slowly learn how to be selfless again. Thinking of her welfare first before mine. Giving all my efforts, energy and time just to make sure she is satisfied with my care and love. I have no or little time for myself ensuring that she is okay in a day. I realized that being selfless is not a hard thing if the person you are rendering it is lovable but being selfless also means "have more concern for others regardless of their attitude".

Hoping that as the time goes by I can also practice being selfless to other people and not just to my child.

As mothers we always think of our children first even if we go hungry as long as they can eat.
