So today is Jan. 31, 2018. I decided to empty out the 2017 coin savings and transfer to the big one so later when I open the monthly collection of coins, it will be a new collection of coins and paper bills. also decided to collect [paper bills last year started late but at least better late than never I think I started Feb. 2017.
For the whole month I put all 10 and 5 pesos coins inside. I just put them together so by the end of the month I will separate them and make a list. This is a new one because the old one fell and broke.
This is where I put the separated coins. Now they are empty to start the new year.
This is the listing I do in a good kind of notebook so that it won't easily tear.
This is what I got in 1 year. The 10 peso coins added up to 2,860 pesos and the 5 peso coins added up to 3,930 pesos but I took 3,000pesos earlier in the year to make a deposit on my freezer. Also 2000 pesos from my 2016 savings. I started the coin savings in 2016.
2016 I saved only 8,480 pesos because coins were scarce. But better than nothing lol.
This is my paper savings in the big red LPG bank. I was able to save 4,260.00 pesos. As you can see I already counted for the Jan savings. I will be opening the coins later this evening.
So for 2016 and 2017 I was able to save 19,730 pesos minus 4,500 pesos which I used to put a down on the freezer, So I have a total of 15,130 pesos in savings with me. That may be small to some but for me this is a big improvement than having zero savings.
So I am now going to start a bank savings with my income from #steemit. Any extra I will place in my account. For the beginning it might be small because I still have to go to Cebu to process my passport. I was also able to buy a washer with spin dryer for 7,400 pesos with my savings from #steemit.
Having any kind of savings or emergency money helps you feel secured and safe. I just realized that, so I hope this year I will be able to save more. I plan to transfer all my coins and paper savings I have here in my bank account if ever I leave for the US . Then just leave it there to accumulate interest.
It is never to late and I am glad for #steemit to help me save more. I will just keep on blogging and writing. Any small amount helps a lot.
