Does WORRY really solve a problem?

According to the current edition of the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, to worry means "to feel or show fear and concern because you think that something bad has happened or could happen". Worry is a natural phenomenon commonly associated with human beings likewise other animals. Based on the above cited definition, it is safe to assume that worry is basically a product of two factors namely, that which has happened and that which has not happened, but may happen. A closer glance at the foregoing reveals that the two key factors (the past and the future) that constitute worry are both not within the sphere of any mortal's control.
From my personal experience, I usually feel worry whenever something negative happens to me or whenever I think something negative is about to happen to me. But lately, I began to realize that never for once have I fixed any ugly situation just by merely being worried. I also discovered that whatever makes you to worry is usually in the realm of issues you cannot change. For instance, I once ordered for 200 pieces of sd cards from a guy in China, and all of the cards happened to be bad and non-functional. To worsen the case, the guy absconded, and that was how I lost what then was almost my whole life savings. Did I worry then? Yes I did. But did my worry change what the guy did? Your guess is as good as mine.
So in conclussion, I submit that worry does not profer any remedy hence it is needless. In life, we will be confronted with ugly situations and if we allow worry to overwhelm us, then our ability to find a way out of the situation is hampered thus leadind to stagnation. Whenever you are faced with a worrisome situation, let this be pictured in your mind: I CANNOT CHANGE WHAT HAS HAPPENED NEITHER DO I HAVE THE COMPLETE POWER OVER THAT WHICH IS YET TO HAPPEN, THE ONLY PLACE I CAN EXCERCISE CONTROL IS IN THE NOW. SO FORGET ABOUT WHAT HAS HAPPENED, PAY LESS ATTENTION TO THAT WHICH IS YET TO HAPPEN AND CONCENTRATE ALL YOUR ENERGY ON THAT WHICH YOU HAVE AT HAND NOW.
Thanks for reading, hope this makes sense to you.

Worrying is a disobedience to God. In everything, keep trusting God.

There are two rypes of worry...

  1. Worry to get something done
  2. Worry out of despression...

...The first one is better....
