A tribute to my teacher

Today is just one of those depressing days where I miss people that I have not even met. I finished my examinations in November and I have taken a little bit of a break to rest for next year. I still do not have any idea what I actually want to do with my life, but I figured that it will sort itself out. I am young and I am in no rush to do anything drastic.

One of the teachers that I had last year, had a great impact on my life, and I will be forever grateful for her.  She is one of the best teachers I have ever had, and even though I will miss her a lot, I will always be able to communicate with her here on Steemit.  She has taught me a few things in life, and I can say that she has changed my life in such a way that I will always remember her.

She is the one who introduced me to Steemit, and until I make up my mind about what I want to do with my life, I will be writing posts on a daily basis.

Let met tell you about the things that she has taught me that made such a great impact on my life.

Do not ever give up

At one point this year I was totally overwhelmed by the amount of work that I had to study. She kept on motivating me and helped me to work out a proper schedule to study from, and guess what?  I passed all my subjects and I did much better than expected.

Do not rush anything

Rome was not built in one day. If you can't finish something today, then you can do it the next day.  I know that this is something that many people struggle with and most people want to finish something that they have started but if you are too tired you will make a mess of things, so rather wait.  I know that I still have a lot to learn in life, and that this might not always be possible, but ever since I started living my life this way, I have received better marks.

Everything happens for a reason

This is one thing I never understood until my teacher explained it to me. I went through a very rough time being a teenager and all, and it was difficult to do my daily tasks.  My teacher motivated me and pushed me to continue. Many things that I do not wish to expose here, happened and at one point I phoned her and I just cried. Her exact words were:

You have to push through it.  Life is difficult and hard, but there is a reason why some things happen and even if you don't understand the reason, it is no reason to just give up.

With constant motivation and a daily whats-app message, I pushed through and I am very grateful that I did.  This brings me to the last point.

Never doubt yourself

If you believe that you are unable to do something, you will never reach your goal.  It is only when you start believing in yourself that you will succeed in life. You are capable of so much more if you just believe. I doubted myself a lot this year, but at the end I achieved my goals.

I am very grateful for my teacher, and what I have in my heart and in my mind will stay with me always.  My teacher has inspired me so much that I am considering becoming a teacher myself.  I don't know if my teacher knows how much she has done for me and I know she would kill me if I expose her name here, but I am grateful that she came into my life.

Everything happens for a reason doesn't it? ;)
