Once there was a little swan who felt very lonely.
He was different from all the other swans he was a Black Swan. His mother told him not to feel bad because he was very special.
What he did not understand is that his mother always took his three siblings on her back when swimming but never him. He really felt that this meant that she did not love him.
So one day he left his family and started flying all over the different water holes and dams. He could not find anyone who looked like him and he was feeling heartbroken.
Why did he look different from all the other swans he was wondering, and why was he the only one. He felt so sad as he also wanted to start a family, but knew that none of the white swans would mate with him because he was so different from them.
One day very tired and flying all over he suddenly saw a black speck in the water. He flew lower so that he could see better and there was this black swan just like him.
He was so happy, because swans are monogamous and he was really hoping that this swan will become his mate. He flew down to her and she said, I cannot believe it I have been looking for a mate for so long but all the swans are white. I am so glad to see you.
They went on their first date and after that they decided that they do love each other. This is when they got married, and had little swans of their own. They were not black, but they knew that they would become black and the mother always let them ride on her back. When they got bigger they always followed her around.
These birds were so happy. Swans just like humans are monogamous and that meant that they would stay together until one of them die. But luckily this little family lived together for a long time and they were very happy.
Swans are such graceful birds that there was a ballet written for them, called Swan Lake.
This family lived happily for a long time.
