Time for day 3 of idiom week!

Haven't seen the other posts? Check Day 2 and Day 1

Final cat idiom for today is:

10

Another self-explanatory idiom :) It functions on its own and does not need anything else.

So a sample sentence would be:

Take an umbrella! It's raining cats and dogs today!

The Origin of this idiom is another interesting story.

People used to have thatched roofs in the past. Cats and dogs would hide in them to look for warmth and shelter. During heav yrain they would get wet, so they frantically tried to find better shelter (And as I result fell from the roof) or simply they would fall into someone's kitchen through the holes in the roof. Hence the idiom.

Stąd określenie "pada psami i kotami " :P
