When I was a kid I was told a lot of different things about what strength really was.
Of course people had different ideals back then, but we today were brought up with those ideals.
Boys don't cry.
Crying is a sign of weakness.

We were essentially taught not to display emotion unless absolutely necessary.
The world is a tough place so I can understand why we were taught that.
However, the older I get the more I realize strength doesn't come from a hard place.
It comes from a soft place.
It doesn't take strength to be mean or cold hearted.
It takes strength to be gentle and kind.
When you offer a helping hand to someone in need..... that is strength.
When you are willing to listen even though it can sometimes be difficult.... that is strength.
You see, strength doesn't come from being made out of steel it comes from being made out of rubber.
We must bend, otherwise we become brittle and break.
We must feel, otherwise we become empty and uncaring.
Humanity is strong.
We hold each other together.
It isn't about being made out of steel.
It's about being able to change.
Strength is to face difficult situations with a smile.
That's true.
I do not think crying is a weakness. . of course it means not crying in front of the crowd .. cry is an emotional outburst when we are not satisfied with something or when sadness hit our mind .. often after crying our mind senantisa more relieved and more focus to do the next activity.
Yes. It can be a relief sometimes.
Boys don't cry.
Over here thats still a serious thing. An annoying thing.
I can understand.
I believe it not about the strength of the steel, this about how the built of the relationship of the people, for me the responsible about care each other this is the strength of relationship, have a nice day @jeezzle

One thing I appreciate about my husband is he's good about talking about his feelings. He doesn't cry but he and I have a good verbal relationship. I think him being able to talk about things makes him a better partner and him happier because he doesn't have to be overly masculine. Some boys have it rough dealing with the expectation to be "manly."
Well I think each gender has their own specific difficulties but yes over masculinizing men from a young age is definitely a problem.
You just expressed your wisdom my friend. It really does takes strength to maintain cool in certain situations, something i do not have lol
Thank you.
It is true @jeezzle
Strength is not made of steel
Have a nice day
I totally agree. Sometimes strength is just the courage to show ourselves when vulnerable. That might be through crying. It's okay to cry.
Thanks for this masterpiece!!
