Should lecturers and students build positive partnerships?

Students-lecturers partnership is seem a weird thing at the university I am working. The relationship of both students and lecturers is remaining on very formal and in a constitutional way The interactions of both are mostly happen in the classroom during the learning process. It is very difficult for students to have elegant and professional interactions out of the teaching learning process. It is why that positive and innovative partnership is there ideally.
- The Partner of Learning
Students have to perceive their lecturers as the partners in learning. In fact, at my working place, most students only deal and meet their lecturers for very limited purposes such as signing the documents or consulting the papers. It is very rare that students come to ask and discuss certain issues with the lecturers. It i seem that lecturers are pictured as the source of learning not the partner of learning. Although, in most develop countries, students and lecturers are partnering in many opportunities. The moments are the best ways of students to absorb knowledge and experiences. It is supposed that students will maximize any potentials and opportunities to learn from the lecturers by perceiving them as their partners. They can share and discuss crucial and curious questions or issues. It is how ideally students and lecturers should do.
- Capacity Building
Lecturers are not only teaching their students but also building their students capacities. Most students concern only learning theoretically but forget to strengthen and build their capacities. Although capacities are basically very important to gain. By just focusing on knowledge not the practical aspects is not the best way, both theory and practice should go simultaneously. It is encouraged that students need to aware that their lectures are one the resources of their own capacity building. Since lecturers have more and advanced experiences, it is supposed that students have opportunities to absorb.

- Real Experience
In most cases, lecturers have gained lots real practice experiences. Lecturers have practically taught and shared knowledge and experience. Since lecturers have involved in various activities, they have to experience several challenges and difficulties. Therefore, students should know what best and positive experiences to copy. Not so many students are see the important of experience sharing of their lecturers. It is again believed weird of asking and having discussion of lecturers experiences for students. In fact, by this way, students will be more adaptable and aware of what are going to happen and how to deal with
anyway, it is encouraged that students need to know of how partnership with their lecturers plays important roles.
So, be good students and you will be succeed.

Partnership between students and lectures, I think they are important in order for the student to achieve and even the lecturer could learn things from the student. No matter the age, eveybody learns something every day.
Great thought @pikitch, well noted. I believe good impacts on both lecturers and students for short and long term. Thanks
