Introduction to Equivalent Fractions
In this post we will talk about equivalent fractions. When two fractions (with different numerators and denominators) represent the same amount of the whole, these fractions are known as the equivalent fractions.
I prepared the following activity to explain the concept of equivalent fractions. We can use the same concept in our kitchens to introduce equivalent fractions to our kids.

Amazing, thanks a lot dear friend!
Deliciously explained equivalent fractions @mathworksheets. Here are some examples of equivalent fractions
1/2 and 2/4
1/3 and 2/6
1/5 and 2/10 and so on....
To prove 1/2 and 2/4
We can cut out a circle from a paper.
First we can fold it once then each part will show 1/2 i.e. half.
Secondly we will again fold it then each part will be 1/4 and if we take 2 parts of circle , it will become 2/4 means half circle that will be equivalent to 1/2 as that was also half of circle.
Very well explained, @gautam. Thanks a lot for supplementing the post with your brilliant insights!
Thanks for providing the platform to share my views @mathworksheets.
