I had a teacher at my school who I had a lot of respect for. After his first child was born, I think it was 6 months later his wife left him and gave him the child to raise.
She had met someone else and they were also expecting a baby.
This man sat in my office a totally broken man.
The only thing he was happy about is that he had his son with him.
He was a wonderful father and as expected most of the teachers helped him out when needed.
He knew he could phone anytime night or day and we would help.
For a young teacher it is not easy raising a baby alone, but he made a wonderful success of this.
He was a blue bull rugby player himself so he was very good at sport and that was what he really helped with at the school.
Once his child came to school he had to stay with us after school and watched his father train the children.
It did not take him long to decide he wanted to join in and started playing rugby as well as cricket. He was this tiny little lovable boy, but he definitely got a lot of his father’s genes as he was good at both these games.
The problem started later in life when he had to pick one of the two and he was really good at both.
By this time his father met a lady and married her, she was like a mother to this teen age boy, and very good to him.
They sat around and decided he would probably enjoy cricket more.
He was so good at it that he could bowl and bat so now things started happening.

His father decided to leave the teaching job and opened up a restaurant. His new wife was very good at this and here they worked together and really worked hard.
After school the boy became a Sringbok cricketer and he started exceeding at batting.
His best friend at school always joined him and his father when they were practising as he was just as good.
Now why am I telling you this story?
This child had no problems as his father did the best possible for him and today he is captain of the 20/20 team. He loves playing these games. He is married and it makes him be with his family easier, as they have a baby and he takes them everywhere he goes.
His best friend is captain of the 5 day cricket and they have a wonderful friendship.
So if you think that a father is not good enough to bring up a baby and help him through school, this is just one example of many that I can tell you about
As we always say children learn by example, and this father was such a wonderful example to these two boys that they are both millionaires today and very happy normal people.
The only problem the grandfather has is he says he must follow them all over the world just to see his grandchild.
He loves this child and every opportunity he gets; he goes and watches the cricket and the grandchild as well.
The cricket games being played in South Africa he really loves as this give him more time with the grandson, and he likes telling him how good his father was when he was still small.
So from father to grandfather this is a man that must get all the respect possible as he did everything possibly to bring up a wonderful child and you can now see it in the grandchild, as his son is just as good a father as he was.
Wow, heart touching. It was quite emotional. It takes a lot for a single parent to bring up kids, whether it be man or woman. In this story, I could just feel a father's magnitude of love towards his child.
As you have mentioned about cricket in this story, it actually caught my attention 😃
A very nice blog.
Cheers!
Thank you for your wonderful reply, it really does take a good person to be a good parent especially if they are alone.
I support steemeducation
I believe this is a real life situation or story
Anyways its cool for fathers and son to bond
But most times fathers are too busy for the family
That might be true of some, but not all.

Wow, this really moved my heart as I read the whole story. What the male teacher did correctly for his son has become a legacy!
Thank you so glad you liked it.
Good thing, the father was up to the task of raising a fine young man. Some instances, some fathers won't do a great job, but he was determined.
Thanks for sharing this story. Stay tuned
Thank you so much.
