Hi Steemians
In history, we are told that all animals were of the wild-life context before the time of earlyman who evolved gradually in his thoughts and reasoning and started all of what is termed “domestication of animals”. The first animal which earlyman termed and used it as a close associate in getting his food was a “dog” for hunting at his stone age.
Today a number of animal’s lives under the care and protection of man with some classified as livestock, others as pets. Livestock greatly supports sustainability of life as such animals serve in homes as food and are often sold in terms of financial constraints to purchase whatever needs a home is running short of.
Pets on the other hand are kept sometimes to strengthen home security and entertainment to a lesser extend and they keep watch and attract the interest of occupants in their skill-performance, looks and social integrity.
In this context of domestication , animals that are classified as such are in other words called domestic animals which are taught in primary schools beginning with introduction by simple identification by naming in level one comprised of classes 1 and 2. Other topics develop from this topic across level two to level three and even in the secondary school and other higher institutes of formal education where some of these animals continue to belong to different groups of animals by the common characteristics they share. For example; they are further classified into herbivores, carnivores, mammals, and ruminants just to mention a few.
They can be seen in the attached photos
