Thanks for following. While I agree it's important to show appreciation, I'll never feel (personally) that getting upvoted = appreciation. Sometimes people just throw upvotes around as well, or curate only for rewards. Same happens with comments.

We can never really know people's motives and I'm not going to judge anyone's motives as bad. I'm going to assume everyone is trying their best. 👍

However, we are all different and we all have different love languages. It certainly can help immensely to get an idea of what causes someone else to feel the appreciation as well.

I hope nobody reading feels told what to do here — that's my greatest fear in writing things like this. Its very take what is useful, ignore what is not.

I just want everyone to have a good time. ☮️

Yeah, for sure. And you raise a good point. I do see some people doing their best, and I usually tend to ignore the spammers.
