Hello Miss @anneke
STD are a serious problem within teenage and young adult population. Most of the bacterial infections can now be cured easily by the development of effective antibiotics. It is hard to think about the times when people with Sifilis were treated with Mercury, and, unfortunatly died because heavy metal poisoning. Although medical researchers are working hard to find cures to all STD agents, many of them are not easy to get rid off. The perfect example is HIV, this virus is a complex and in a certain way, beautiful. It is very hard to neutralize due to its mutability properties, this virus can also take control of our DNA - replication mechanisms to replicate itself and create serious damage in our body. I really hope for a cure to be developed soon, in the mean time, this information will be very usefull to all teenagers and young adults out there. I thank you as a member of the medical community for bringing awareness to all of us. I look foward into future posts. Followed and upvoted.
