TECHNOLOGY APPLIED TO EDUCATION
The physical structure of the schools is usually designed so that the teachers "dictate" the lesson and the students make use of the printed material. However, what is important is to favor the integration of technological resources with pedagogical practices; for this reason, the center of concern should be the analysis of available resources in relation to the teacher's activity in teaching.
The use of resources incorporated into good teaching practices may have good potential to improve the understanding of concepts; to develop skills and abilities.
So, why don't use this as an advantage in our everyday teaching process?
Technological resources to use in the classroom
Passing through the most common social networks to those that are specifically directed to the field of education. When referring to social networks, we can highlight that these lead the relationships between people today. Even when most began as educational tools, people now give them the use they prefer according to their needs. Let's mention a # Top3 of social networks and how to apply them in our classrooms.
- Facebook: this is one of the best way ever to improve our skills as teachers by creating groups with a specific theme or an open-minded one to expose simpler ways to acquire knowledge.
- YouTube: Present videos related to the topic you have studied, using a series of keywords that facilitate the location on the platform. Illustrate and expand the class, through audiovisual language, the concepts presented to the student during class.
- Edmodo: It is a live time option which not only allows students submit every time they want but, the teachers is even capable of applying quiz and surveys related with the topic was maybe showed in class and qualify them.

Having exposed the most trending ways, let’s go back to the conventional which are applied if the students do not have the necessary resources to apply the previous. Because that is what education do “adapt to everyone necessity”.
Besides, we all know there are a few group of schools OR STUDENTS which are limited in case of technology. For those, there are also other ways to apply conventional methods in order to fulfil and encourage our students get into this world of technological systems of teaching hoping this give as a result a more dynamic environment for students. Now let’s show another #Top3 of conventional or #Former tools for teaching using tech:
- E-mail: write e-mails is the biggest former way for communication and for me, safer one. This is advisable and an easier way at the time to assign or send assignments, because students can send it in a limited period of time by using any personal gadget or not. Even, by going to a specific place which provides internet services.
Voice recording: believe it or not, this a very useful tool in the classroom and outside, specifically if you want to teach a second languages. Taking in count that all devices and phones, smart or not, have this option we can use it in a positive and in many different ways.
source Final projects: In this case it is not a specific way but, it is an incredible idea. Instead of an everyday activity, in case you or your students have not a permanent access or connection to the internet assignments can be send for an specific time, day or month even, it could be for the end of the scholar year which could involves: the creation of a website, a blog or even an article about an specific topic of the subject you are teaching or a free topic.
However, whichever your methods will be the intention is to allow our students to expand their horizons in order to adapt and no mimic nowadays generation. So, provide them the way, show them the path and see how a wiser students become outstanding in this technological society.
