Today I'm gonna review a game for my daily post, since I've been having a lot of fun playing it, and give some tips, since I'm #2 on the leaderboards right now! The game is S-City by @steemitgoldminer, and there are some other games that are up there too!

S-City
The game is pretty simple, time-based leveling game where you buy properties, fight other players, buy cars and race others, and try to level up and get the most 'respect' in the city. Respect is what the leaderboards are based off of, so definitely one of the more important parts. It's a lot of fun in general, there are a few players right now in there, something like 60 I think. That's good, because you can only fight and race a specific player three times a day each, with the day resetting at 7PM MST (I think based on experience). You can also only race other players if they have a vehicle (of course), and can only fight other players near your level (e.g. I'm level 30, I can fight players from level 25-35 (I think, no one is above 31 but I can fight the 31). You can also get a house, adopt pets, and increase your stats. There is also a Steem reward for leaderboard position on 10/10! Overall it's a lot of fun, and there's a chat function so you can talk shit while you're playing!
Tips and Tricks
There are a couple of things I've learned about this game specifically, and a couple that I know about these types of games in general. I'll start with the general ones:
- Start out thinking long-term. Don't start out and buy some equipment with your starting money, it's best to get enough to buy the first property (3000 money) so that you'll start having long-term gains. The 'work' function wastes time and energy to get money compared to a small investment of money at the beginning, so it really only makes sense to buy properties. I haven't worked once in the game.
- This is number 1 again, but about your stats. You can increase your stats by going to school or gym, or by buying equipment that increases them. Obviously, once again, you want to go to gym or school rather than buy a bunch of equipment. This is because it's cheaper in general, basically only takes some time, and you'll be earning property income while doing it.
Here are the more specific tips for S-City:
- Clothing is worth the most respect if you buy it (all items from the shop give you some amount of respect).
- Having the best vehicle isn't worth it, but it's good to have one you can beat most people with (the 115,000$ Lambo would only have me beating one more person, and I can just avoid racing them).
- Power isn't the most important stat for fights, having one stat maxed and the rest even will win you more fights than having all stats even at a lower point.
- Fights and races reset at 7PM MST, try to be available and have full energy at this time.
- Bank money immediately if you're not going to spend it, this means you won't lose money if attacked or raced.
- The hospital is never worth it because the gym also restores your health even if it costs energy.
- If you're low on energy, buy a drink (you get respect) and go to the gym. It recharges while you're doing activities.
That's basically it on the tips and tricks, go check it out at steemitgoldminer! There are other games on there that you can earn Steem by playing, I haven't played too many since they're pretty basic, but they're still fun! Enjoy your gaming!
