Recently I scored three pair of Soft Star handmade shoes in a swap group for $25! (for all 3!)
Lovely, preworn, minimal shoes in both my oldest two's sizes!
Super flexible!
This pair had a broken buckle.
No problem! Diaper pin to the rescue!...until we find a new buckle.
We trecked through Hobby Lobby, with no luck. Until we looked at the clearance section.
There sat this leater bracelet... With a nearly perfect size buckle. For $.80.
Woohoo!
Perfect!
Go home, seam rip out the stitches around the elastic. Cut the leather off of the buckle.
Put it together. Then hand stitch !

Nicely done! I am not a handy seamstress but I try. I would love to take a refresher course for my sewing machine so I can be more ha Dy with repairs. Grab ted your particular repair was a hand stitch. Great post. -Aimee

Way to go. You can really find some great stuff if you are willing to look for it and things can be so easily fixed up and refurbished. Score for you!!!!
Oh yes! One of my favorite ways to score bargains... Getting something cheap or free because someone doesnt know how to fix it, but I do!
