We usually just make pizza at home (from the dough upwards because that's how my partner rolls XD) so the centre of the pizza is usually cheese (dairy cheese coz we're not vegan) and whatever toppings happened to get stuck in there, and there's often a nice big glob of it.
The couple of times we've gotten takeaway pizza has been a similar thing. I don't recall having encountered the plastic centre before XD
