The Steemit Name Challenge - @hazel420

in #steemitnamechallenge7 years ago (edited)

Hello friends and family!

The super talented @marty-art nominated me for the #steemitnamechallenge and yeah, why not tell you something about me and why I got this name :)

Here are the rules!

  1. Tell us in a post how you chose the current Steemit username you have. The story behind it.
  2. Tell us your real name!
  3. If you could change your current username, which name would you choose and why? If you have a possible usernames list, mention it!
  4. Use the tag #steemitnamechallenge so that the creator of the challenge can track all the posts and check them out
  5. Nominate five people for this challenge

  1. The story behind my name is quite simple. I got hazel eyes, and I like pot. The numbers 420 are a version of 4/20 the official stoner holiday. A couple of friends used to call me Hazel when I was younger, or Haze for short (wonder where that came from ^^). I used this username without the numbers and in a slightly different way back in the day on Myspace. Do you remember Myspace? I feel old now. Thanks!

  2. I won't. There is a reason I'm living in an ivory tower ;) But I can tell you that it's a rather long name.

  3. Being comfortable with your username is essential, and I'm pretty happy with keeping it.

  4. See below :)

  5. Gosh, this is hard! It's not like I'm a total loner but almost everybody I thought of already did the challenge.
    I nominate @bronkong, @shakazula, @heart-to-heart, @hr1 and @rest100 because I am super curious about their names.

Edit: I forgot to mention a fifth person in my original post, so I chose the generous @hr1 :)

love

hahahahaha thanks @fraenk, my eyes never look like this. most of the time you wouldn't tell I smoked anything, pretty useful in a lot of situations if you ask me :P but they get lighter in the sun!

Hi hazel,

Looks like you can use my help 😀
Welcome on Steemit!

Nice to see such a comprehensive introduce yourself post. This way we get to know you straight away. And I'm directly curious to see what future blogs you will write?

It's really great to have you as new Steemonian on this awesome platform. I hope you will enjoy Steemit just as much as I do. In my first 3 months I found out there is really a lot to discover. First of all about how Steemit precisely works (my suggestion is that you take your time to learn about that subj). But also to find out how you can find users that share interesting blogs? So who do you need to follow?

One of the things I really like is the social aspect. There are a lot of people willing to help you. And also after a little time you get a fan base. And last but not least, the are a lot of communities. Myself I joined the Dutch community (since I live in The Netherlands).

If you have any questions about Steemit, you can always try to find the answers in the welcome and/or FAQ section. Or if you prefer you can just ask me. I would be happy to help you out 😀

Welcome to steemit. Interesting writing topics.

Lovely idea
