Yay!!! Another steemitphotochallenge opportunity.
This is a really tough challenge for me. I suppose most of us don't really have much opportunity for shots in glamorous settings, and I have been quite torn as to whether to enter this challenge or not.
I'm unclear if this challenge is about
glamour fashion, or
fashion and glamour.
To me, they are quite distinct.
From the examples given, it appears that glamour fashion is the deal, but if I'm to enter this challenge, I will have to go with
fashion, not glamour.
Since I realistically won't be winning a "glamour" fashion challenge I'd still like to offer up a couple of shots I feel are "fashion" worthy. Photos I feel would be really fun to see in a fashion magazine, more for the fashion of emotion in an inspired everyday life, than for the showing of a fashion/style of a garment.
I am really quite an out-of-the-box kinda girl, and I favor candid, spontaneous shots over set-up, manipulated shots any day. I go with fashion--in the natural sense of living an everyday life of beauty. So, here are my entries, if nothing else for the fun of the shoot.
PHOTO #1
@quinneaker on the rooftop in Pottsville, PA. He is a master at the didgeridoo and life, sitting on top of the world. He is so fashionable, people often want the clothes off his back.
PHOTO #2
This is @saramiller in our outdoor kitchen, stoking up a fire on our hand made rocket stove. We were in celebration mode, hence the fancy gown. This was not an instigated photoshoot, but a real life moment of life in the @gardenofeden.
PHOTO #3
On the street in Pottsville, PA, @quinneaker's presence is known. His everyday life is a fashion statement. I took this shot from the second story window before he realized my presence.
Deciding on what photos to enter was the real challenge,
as I have a broad spectrum of what fashion is.
So I'll add a few more photos here
that I didn't choose for my top 3
to share about my everyday fashionable life.
Natural opportunities for playing with fashion are frequent at the @gardenofeden.
Lounging in the sun dappled through the window.
The light in our chicken coop was perfect for this egg-gathering photoshoot.
Taken in the dim light of the kitchen stove,
the mother of a friend of mine in her own world of thought and song.
@quinneaker and Noki--A relationship based on love is always in fashion!
@quinneaker on a snowy winter Colorado morning dressed to the nines in texture.
The highest fashion is a love for life!!!
Two previous @gardenofeden inhabitants playing dress-up with our Epic Threads in the garden on a crisp, overcast, late fall morning. Their true enjoyment of play is definitely fashionable!!!
@quinneaker in Epic Thread fashion entering the house after a tour of the land at the Garden of Eden. Always in fashion as he is a statement of his own.
My daughter Quincie and her then-boyfriend Cavin caught in soulful conversation.
I captured this as they turned my way upon my approach.
The coolest thing is this may be a pose styled for a fashionable shoot,
but instead it unfolded spontaneously.
In the spirit of Halloween, I share this candid moment of connection.
He was walking by, I turned and we met lens to eye.
I feel he is quite a fashion statement.
This is my daughter Quincie in her own first home ecstatically cheffing up a high vibe meal with Jamie . I have a series of these feel good candid photos and will likely make a fashion magazine of my own one day sharing the fashion of the everyday life of thrival.
So grateful to share with you.

Beautiful!
Thanks for the beauty of your beautiful-ness!
Wonderful moments captured!
I think my favourites are actually the ones below your chosen 3 (which are also superb). They just have so much life in them. I love the colours and composition of the photo you took of your friends mother and the bottom one of your daughter- what ENERGY!!!
Beautiful photos! Doubtlessly, the last photo is my favourite! You caught the emotion perfectly well. I love the B&W too. Looks really really pretty. You deserved an Upvote :) I also photograph, take a look at this post: https://steemit.com/photography/@caminito/how-i-fall-into-the-fall-or-why-to-look-just-up-original-photos#@caminito/re-mindhunter-re-mindhunter-re-caminito-re-mindhunter-re-caminito-how-i-fall-into-the-fall-or-why-to-look-just-up-original-photos-20161001t205546462z
thanks for your comment and your upvote. I took a little visit your way. Thanks for sharing the beauty in your world.
A clear talent with a lens. Well done.
Thanks for your visit here and for your appreciation. Grateful to share with you.
Wow - now THIS is a high-value post if ever I saw one: packed full of awesome, spontaneous, real-life moments! Of the three you've entered, I think the first is the most suited to the 'theme' - it looks straight out of the pages of a magazine, even though it's obviously a natural shot not a posed shot... I'm with you all the way in your approach to photographing people, @everlove - even when my daughter and I 'do a shoot', it's the spontaneous moments within that we're looking to capture. And candid shots always best posed shots for me hands down :o) Lovely post! Upvoted :o)
This was quite a decision for me on which would be my favorites for this theme. Your number one is also my number one--@quinneaker is such a natural in life and I have such great love for him--I'm sure it shines through in my photos. It's always easy to photograph the things we have appreciation for. In all photos, even in photo shoots, the naturalness of it is way more intriguing to me. I'm one who loves the shots of people getting ready for shots when they are in chaos and looking for their places amongst each other in the frame. Thanks for being here with me and for sharing your comments. I appreciate your artist's eye.
I have always loved your photos Shelley! You have a great eye. Beautiful work!!
Thank you for your appreciation @slvrlunastar. I have loved taking so many photos that have ended up as profile pictures. Would love to have taken the photos on all my friends' pages. Life is so inspiring--am grateful to be capturing it.
All of your photographs are evocative and beautiful -- especially as they are unposed and a result of life's moments unfolding. Your daughter Quincie is very lovely and seems so soulful. Looking forward to more photos.
I've checked out your posts and find I'm in good company. I love what you are sharing and inspired by your spontaneous interaction with life. Bless to connect with you.
So grateful to be able to share my perspective and for your appreciation. And I agree--Quincie is truly a beauty--inside and out. Thanks for being here with me.
