This is Didinho, my last white kitty

Wish I could remind something nice to say about this photo, but I can't
It only reminds me the time we almost lost this cat.
Let's go back to the beginning of 2007...
It was winter time, it was really cold and this cat lived in the street as we have plenty of space with trees, herbs, birds, maybe rats...that's all a cat wants to be happy!! Right?!
My mother came to lunch at home, and after she gave me a ride (in her car) to my work in Leiria.
We live in a small village, and before we left to Leiria (and reach the principle road), we made a quick stop (5-10 minutes) at my uncle's house (that lives in the same village).
So far so good!!
When we finally get in that principle road, my mother pushed the car accelerator, as any of you (or me) would do...and that's when we heard a noise. It seemed we hit something outside, but we didn't see anything in our front coming. We both looked the review mirror and saw a white thing rolling on the road...I thought it was a plastic bag (she also thought the same) and we continued our small trip to the city.
My mother finished her workday before me and when she returns home she noticed Didinho was missing!!
She remembered the noise we have heard before in the car and calls me. After all, we both thought that white thing on the road could be our beloved cat, but we didn't want to believe that, has it was more comfortable to think it was only a plastic bag.
How could it be possible, right??
As I said, it was winter and it was pretty cold. The cat hid close to the warm engine while we lunched. Remember we also make a quick stop before?! Why he didn't get scared and left the car at my uncle's house!?
In the next morning, we went to the road looking for him as he might be injured or even dead, but we didn't find him. I return in the afternoon and keep looking in the closest fields...but nothing too. After I picked this photo and printed some brochures to spread in the local coffee and bus stop (hoping someone could have seen him).
One week after (exactly one week after) my mother calls me at work to announce a neighbor has rescued our cat...and he wasn't injured!!
We finally brought him back home!!
He was so dirty and scared...he took a while to be confident with us again, but we recovered the cat and his mood by spoiling him!!
The end!!
(a happy one, at least this time)
I didn't plan to write a big post with its story, but now that I did it I feel a bit better to share it with you. This story belongs to this photo!!
Oh I'm glad this story ended well !! Didinho was indeed a beautiful cat and this photo on the green grass, with his blue eyes and white fur...oh that's gorgeous !
Lovely memories on this post Liliana...Thank you much ^_^
This story ended well, indeed. Thank you so much for your WonkieCat!! Lovely !!
Sneaky.
That's the exact word for this photo!! Thanks!! :)
What a beautiful cat! I'm glad you didn't lose him. Pets add a special dimension to our lives, that's for sure. It's hard when they troubles.
Thanks @haphazard-hstead, I didn't lose him this time, indeed. And what a story of luck and survival! I also believe pets have a very important place in our lives, unfortunately, their life expectation is so small compared to our owns!
You are so right about their short lives being unfortunate. Knowing that is a lesson for treasuring the time they have. But it adds up to a lot of loss of pets over our lifetimes.
I've experienced a few already...and from times to times, there is one of those that throws me in deepest sorrow, I must say! They become a member of the family! :)
Fantastic photo @liliana.duarte. Good luck in the challenge
Thank you so much. Guess I went a bit crazy with cat photos, I promise I'm stopping it (for now)!! ;)
I am not one to speak about too many photos. It's a real problem I have
Ahah, I don't think you have a problem, I actually love your different photos on the same dish, they are beautiful. But the more photos you share...the more virtual drool you get from us! Ahah ;)
Really cute! You are so lucky to find your kitty finally! And this kitty's photo would probably bring you some good luck again on this challenge! ;)
One of the cutest indeed! It ended up well and is a great story to tell!! Many thanks!! :)
You're welcome! That's right! Very great story! ;)
Do you have more pictures of Didinho? Very handsome!!!
I have some more, but this is his best photo!! I'll be posting more photos of my cats, this wasn't the only handsome one we had!! :))
Can't wait...... ps.... I liked the post on the Sumatran TIGER
Thank you so much!! I'm preparing a "giant" post where I'll introduce my pets, but for now I'm just sharing my grey cat. That's another handsome one (if you're a cat lover like me) ;)
Here's my big time Big boy mamas boy...
Ahhh, what a great cat!! I love it! Thanks for sharing his photo :))
I have a white cat too named Nico
Lucky you!! He lives inside or outside? We had some problems with his ears due to the sun exposition, nothing serious, fortunately.
Nice post
Thank you! :)
