In Scotland we have tiny spiders and not many giant webs given the horrifying wind, rain and snow that characterises a fine summers day let alone the beginning of winter.
So a lot of our webs look like this, funny whimsical sheets in the corners of bushes and long grasses. I popped out early in the morning to catch them glistening with dew. Sadly there was no sun as that would have looked splendid.
Both these entries taken with my trusty galaxy s7. No processing beyond the standard phone sharpening, saturation and compression nonsense
Entry 1, Dry Ice drifting in the long grasses
Entry 2, Hammocks in the hedging
I like the delicate lacey spider webs - sometimes photos taken without sun have more vibrant colour. I love your photos.
Thank you!

Pics look beautiful
Great captures!!
Why thank you very much, its hard getting any decent shots in the perpetual misty twilight of a Scottish winter!!
Same type of spiders and webs we have in Norway :) Great photos!
Little furtive ones! Cheers!! :0)
Love these! It almost looks like glass, super cool!
It does look like glass, I knew it reminded me of something!!
These are great shots, I can send you some of the giants that are making their way into my house if you'd like.
Oof no thanks! You can keep your giant arachnids!!! Even in photo form!! ;o)
Yeah, that's a different existence for spiders! Do you ever see the spiders, themselves, or just their webs?
We sometimes see house spiders but rarely spiders outside and having a three year old I spent a substantial portion of the summer out at ground level and barely saw 1!
That's really interesting! They lay their webs all over everything, but they are hiding out. That's a different strategy. I'm glad you put your photos in the challenge!
