Here’s my two entries for the Steem photo challenge “Desolation”. Both were taken with my old Canon bridge, can’t remember the specifications.
1. The Black Desert, 400km west of Cairo, 10 years ago. Landscape probably shaped by erosion, looks like you’re on Mars.
2. Fishing Boat on a beach, Heibai, South West China, 8 years ago. Since the boat is far away from the sea, it seems to be abandoned in the desert.

Interestingly, the boat looks more like a sledge. And those black cones -- aren't they pyramids covered with sand? =)
Yeah it's a boat that can be pulled on the sand. yes, the color difference for the cones is strange.
