Best hotdog ever! It is cooked into the bread with bacon, cheese, mustard and garlic. @homecook this is one that will have your daughter pestering you for the same.
To all sandwich makers out there. Go check out this contest: Steemit sandwich contest week 40.
Big shout out goes to @jaybird for organizing this contest.
I used the following to make this sandwich:
Bread:
- Wheat flour
- Water
- Yeast
- Salt
Filler:
- Hotdog
- Mantecoso cheese
- Bacon
- Garlic
- Oregano powder
- Mustard
Ok for those who don't know, I first made this hotdog bread for this contest. Then I put it on my local bread round and it has become a little bit popular. Today I made 9 of them!
Stretch out your dough as such. Place some chopped garlic and then a rasher of bacon. Sprinkle on some oregano powder
Some broken up mantecoso cheese next.
One squirted line of mustard. I wish I had whole grain mustard here.
Hotdog.
Fold, pinch, turn over and place on your baking tray. Leave for 2 hours.
Baked for 20 minutes and they smell so good.
A bit of food porn ;)
Its like pigs in a blanket on steroids
yes I agree, totally on the next level of hotdog.
Great idea! I'm making bread this week, I can't stand it! You have created a new local favorite! What did you name it?
Oh I look forward to seeing you make bread :) I called it how I did on SSC: Hotdog royal. I got cheered as I walked into the hotel this evening. Cheering for bread.
Hahah noice one! I Always appreciate how you cook everything while you bake the bread. So much could go wrong in that time and you always seem to make it work out !
I think I have baked too many times. It becomes instinctive. I just posted about trading a royal hotdog for Steem on the SSC handle. I hope this is ok, but I was so stoked that a sandwich created for your contest was the first trade I ever did for steem. Again thank you.
I approve ;)
That’s hilarious. Who bought it? And how much steem did u trade it for?
Nevermind i just saw the post. Most excellent :)
I will try
Food is an important part of a balanced diet.
You could open a local bakery :)
As you are baking quite a lot do you mind sharing how do you:
#1 Close the bakery so it doesn't open when baked
#2 How do you avoid the bakery to break during baking, that is anywhere, not just the point of closing
#3 How much yeast do you use in proportion to the flour and what temperature do you use
people want me to open a bakery here :)
I pinch the dough together and then turn it upside down onto the tray.
Thicker dough
2 soup spoons per kg of flour. Temp is warm here but it does affect it.
