Donation Competition - Win The Lap Top And Donate It... (Prize 10 SBD + Donation) 10 Days - Day #8 The Registration Is In Progress

in #steemitschool7 years ago

The aim of this competition is to extend the idea for Steemit blogging. If we give a donation in food or money, when money and food are spent, we have the same problem - a poor family. If you donate a computer and teach people to make good posts and comments, then they begin to get a regular cash flow. I believe that in the first month, every new user can make $ 500, In the beginning the most money is made on good comments. Steemit with this idea can feed many people, villages, cities and poor countries. I want to launch a human idea because more users bring higher and faster growth to Steem and SBD. I want this competition to grow, to get a global dimension. Now it's only one computer, the next time the prize can be 150-300 SBD - it depends on the support you give me.

Winner ( 10 SBD ) : @easydimes

You are not only a kind, charitable person but also one that sees a need and follows through to see it solved. Those are he honorable qualities. My name is Esther Nantambi and I need to win the laptop for my brother @battebilly. When Batte joined steemit, he had been a 2years unemployed graduate of computer science. All he had to his name was a second hand laptop our father had bought him for his degree. It was old and years had taken their toll on it. He thus would wire it to get some work done. When he joined steemit, I was an intern at makerere university school of law. He was very enthusiastic and would pass by to say hallo and urge me to sign up( which I only did because i didn't want to kill his spirit). He would then walk with his broken laptop to the faculty of ICT to get free WiFi so he could steem.(data/mbs expensive more so on a laptop and he had no smart phone) I don't want to imagine how it was for him to have to arrange his laptop amidst some students for the state of his laptop is pitiable even in an African university. All i know is he was determined and persevered. evidence of this is in one of his storieshttps://steemit.com/promo-steem/@battebilly/the-joy-of-withdrawing-money-for-the-first-time-i-can-now-tell-everyone-i-meet-about-steemit-without-fear

Good type of post

Your initiative is showing fruitful results

Can someone apply for the competition in order to win the donation for himself @dobartim

Wow! I'm so happy that such a thing happens on steemit. It is a nice idea. Steemians helping the world. I will also be happier if their is any initiative that helps to assist those with health challenges both in and outside steemit. I have been recently disturbed by the plight of @cryptopie and will be more than glad if somehow steemians can assist him with the money for a kidney transplant. I have been thinking of doing such but have been limited by my unpopularity, because it may not get the audience it deserves.
Once again Kudos. This is a good work.
My appeal will be sent later

Thank You..

Hi @dobartim, i appreciate this opportunity you have created to let the voice of the voiceless be heard.

I am Udekwu Desmond from Nigeria and a graduate of biochemistry at Michael ọkpara University in abịa state. I come from a middle classed (not too rich, not too poor) family of four kids and I happen to be the first born child. I lost my dad when I was 19yrs and ever since, my mum has kept the fire burning with my three sisters in the university. I am 25yrs old without a job or a means of livelihood, but this ended, when steemit was introduced to me by a close friend I call "brother" @sistem and it was like a life changing experience for me since then, owing to the fact that I am over aged to be in the same roof with my mum and siblings, was constantly being asked for little money by my sisters and needed financial breakthrough to at least tend to my own needs. I am currently not on discord because of the kind of phone I use in steeming and my phone has a very poor Internet reception which has been a very big challenge to my progress here and the major reason I haven't introduced steemit to my younger sisters is because, a blind man cannot lead a blind man. I haven't made enough waves on steemit or earned a mouth watering sbd that will be convincing enough to win souls for steemit, but irrespective of these challenges I have been facing on steemit that tends to limit how much I make, I still look to the brighter side of life, hoping for a breakthrough someday. A day I will get a better phone and a laptop to ease the stress, because I stay up to 3min to load a page on steemit (highly time consuming) most times. I think that day is here and this opportunity was made for me.

The burden of tuition fee for my sisters in school is getting tough on my aging mum that is fast heading towards retirement and the best way out is to help out.

HOW CAN I ACHIEVE THIS.?

¶¶I intend introducing steemit to my sisters so they don't depend too much on either me or our mum.
¶¶I vision a time I will be making $500 on a single post like you have said earlier @dobartim and with this, I can decide to pay one of my sisters' tuition fee, till she graduates.
¶¶I also intend using my successful testimonies on steemit to introduce it to those around my neighborhood and save a life just the way mine was saved. I see a lot of unemployed youths, roaming the streets with no hope for a better TOMORROW, Smoking and drinking away their lives with some of them thinking of mischievous ways to make ends meet. I will let them know that steemit is the WAY to go!

I know these dreams are achievable because steemit is a world with gold mines. The ticket is all I plead for.

God bless, as you grant my request .

Yours sincerely,

@desmoniac

Thanks @dobartim for your caring heart. It takes a special people to do this because I know of people who even find it difficult to give to others what does not belong to them after the owner has order they do so.

I am planning to give someone what I think will be his future. It is one of my boy AbdulBaqee.

AbdulBaqee is a 13 years old nephew who has being staying with me for over 3 years now. He is smart and creative. And he love drawing although not professional. Through my computer centre, he has learnt how to use the Corel graphic suite and can suitably work with photo paint and Corel draw. My regular assessment shows he is improving everyday and very soon will become a professional with further training.

Right now, he is in Junior Secondary School (JSS3) and will be writing his Junior West African Examination Council (WAEC) examination in about three months after which he is supposes to further in senior secondary school. But to me I am looking at it from a different angle. I will instead enroll him in technical college to study computer. But before the resumption which will be by September, immediately after the examination I want to enroll him in a coding class and later change the coding training to after school, when he started his technical school. As you can see AbdulBaqee need a laptop.

Moreover I want his talent and skills to start paying him. I want AbdulBaqee to be on steemit sharing his work. I am ready to mentor him on how to communicate and educate people with drawing and pictures. It is my vision before discovering steemit to make him financially independent before his twenty and now that steemit is here, this could be a better option to get started.

Please, help me achieve my dream of making AbdulBaqee become a professional programmer before his twenty. I know with steemit and my mentoring he will be able to concentrate on his when there is enough money to face nothing but his study.

I will really be grateful if you could be part of this my dream come true.

Thanks for giving me and other participants the opportunity to share part of our world with you.

How pleasing and wonderful will this be to open my eyes and realized its not just a dream but reality.
