I am proudly Nigerian
And unrepentantly Nigerian
Its another celebration Nigeria independence
And so, if you are part of my village
Please feel at home
As we serve you pounded yam
While you sip peace commanding fresh water.

Forgive us our sins as a nation
Re-establish your will in us.
Restore total peace into our land once again,
Give us a leader of your mind and take charge of our nation.
