Truth Within-100 Days of Poetry Challenge: Day Sixteen

in #steemitschoolpoetry7 years ago (edited)

Truth Within

Ink on Paper
Pen in hand
Rhythm rising no demands.
Hearing answers
as they fall,
If only now
To scale these walls.
Distant echoes
Met with pride,
How we crumbled
Nowhere to hide.
Asking questions
Speak no lie,
All this time
Head held high.
Flow in motion
Time stands still
Creating shadows
That bleed until,
All that runs
is swept away,
All we gain
is left to stay.

Notes

I consider myself to be a intermediate poet.

Thank you @d-pend for creating this challenge and allowing me to take the time daily to be creative and expressive. . It is something that I have never had any input with , it comes straight from my heart, on to paper and more recently here on to steemit

I think you are being very modest when you say 'intermediate'. Personally I'm loving your poetry! Keep smiling my friend :)

Thank you @lumpa for your wonderful compliment.

I love the rhyme, the message, the flow and everything about "truth within". Amazing stuff!

thank you @prosperousrex I really appreciate your feedback x

Wonderful . .... As always 😍❤❤❤

Thank you Niina for all your support

‘Hearing answers as they fall” What a potent and unique way to describe the truth within, like leaves falling from a tree at the end of a cycle. We have to listen closely or we may miss the truths revealed. I’m going to ponder this work for awhile.

Thank you @firststeps for your lovely feedback, it really means a lot to me.

I like the way this poem flowed in one complete thought. I didn't come away feeling like I understood what the poem was about, but that's okay I still got something from it.

thank you @acousticsteveo, for me it was about allowing myself to let go and see what words flow freely.

My dear @trucklife-family, I disagree to consider you an intermediate poet! There is no such thing. You write from your heart and it is felt by so many people! Apart, I believe that making this category - excellent poet, the intermediate poet you go from the mind and I am sure you know the better wey - the one from your heart where all people are beautiful and they are just who they are. You have a wonderful soul, dear so let it shine the way it is!
