@jerrybanfield. Having try freelancing myself as an automation engineer, I can truly say that this is an excellent idea. But, at the same time I'm wondering how we can make it so it is fair in rewarding value considering, as an example, the reward (pay) gap between engineering in America vs in Africa ... I'm not discriminating anyone or any country, I'm just stating facts. The current freelancer platform are design and operated to have this huge competition (more freelancer than jobs) to undercut reward and make hard, make it almost impossible to really make a good living out of it. Cheap labor seeker loves that.
And why SteemJ (isn't already use for a Java project?) ... Why not SteemJobs? Which rings super close to Steve Jobs ... very attractive name.
Also, why limit this to jobs. How about asset trade portal like SteemBay? (Trade, sell, buy physical stuff using steem engine and community)
I'm new to Steemit and not a web programmer, but I'm sure a lot will come from your idea and the power of all Steemit user as is and yet to come.
Keep up the good work
