I thought that until I tried "diversifying" my crypto, and eventually realized that dividing your stack into 2000 versions of Bitcoin was NOT sage advise.
STEEM lives BECAUSE of its unique reward pool distribution system, and I consolidated my diversification strategy into steem because I don't think that "diversification" applies to your currency, rather your "non-currency" investments.
It is just that the conventional "diversification" buzzword came at a time when there was bacically zero currency competition. Enter POW (BTC/LTC/VTC), and you don't have a "new" asset class, rather a "new" currency competitor, that's all. I missed that one completely
Insightful, that's another great perspective to it. The future of steem is bright. However, one should not fail have few good alternatives in the advent or case of unfortunate incident
