Hi people. Today I want to show you my homemade recipe of palmeritas, I wanted to show them this way because we want to be smiling today because Sunday we are here for many rest days, where we can enjoy rich things like this being creative
let's do it!!!
Make this recipe is very entertaining because to get a good puff pastry you must make several times a same step and let it sit for several minutes in the fridge. The process used to obtain the puff pastry is as follows:
FIRST: To prepare the dough we use ½ kilo of common wheat flour to this we add 2 tablespoons of butter a pinch of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and approximately ½ cup of water or until they notice that their dough becomes manageable, we leave rest the dough for 15 minutes to continue to the next step.
SECOND: Beat with the back of a spoon (sounds weird but that's right) 10 tablespoons of butter with 6 tablespoons of sugar pressing the butter well with the sugar to integrate.
THIRD: Stretch with a rolling pin the dough previously made leaving it with a thickness of approximately 1 cm and then add the butter mixture with sugar on it.
FOURTH: After adding the butter with the sugar filling each space of the dough we fold each side from right to left and the left to the right covering the previous one, as we see in the images.
FIFTH: Then take the dough to the refrigerator for 15 minutes and repeat the same step stretched the dough, adding more butter and folding each side
NOTE: To obtain a good puff pastry, it is necessary to repeat the FOURTH and FIFTH step for approximately 6 times for 15 minutes, although if it is left for 30 minutes, it is possible to rest 3 or 4 times.
When we are able to obtain our pastry dough with great patience we can begin to make our coveted palmeritas stretching the dough and cutting around it in a square shape and then roll each side, as we see here
Next, we cut the previous roll to a thickness of 1 cm to obtain our palmeritas. On a plate add sugar to soak the palmeritas there by one of the sides
After we take to a mold each one of them (it is not necessary to gum up because of the butter that we previously added to the puff pastry) and bake at 350 ° C for 20 minutes although each oven varies according to its quality.
Finally we can enjoy a good PALMERITAS for a snack or a family share, many people have told me that they like to eat them at 4 o'clock in the afternoon with a good cup of coffee it seems a good option and I hope they make it and they stay perfect
