Black Monday on Markets

in #steemleo5 years ago

On March 9, Forbes magazine reported which of the richest people in the world had lost the most in the fall in markets that occurred on "Black Monday".

Due to declines in markets driven by growing fear of coronavirus, the 10 richest people in the world lost a combined $ 37.7 billion on Monday after the S&P 500 and Dow Jones dived by almost 8%.

Bernard Arnault, the king of luxury goods, turned out to be the biggest loser on that day, whose fortune was reduced by USD 6 billion, i.e. by 6%. Arnault is the CEO of the LVMH company listed in Paris and the third richest person in the world. Bernard Arnault ended this memorable day with a net asset value of USD 92.6 billion compared with USD 98.6 billion.
