Seeing the coins that are popping up I think it's truly remarkable the amount of people of all classes within the steemit landscape taking advantage of the new steemit ideals in developing a more user-friendly and a virtual reset of class structure in their giving following of users. But I did mention "virtual reset," not quite a full-blown reset, of which is a possibility though an incredible undertaking. This concept and more is something I will try to illustrate as the importance of the newly emerged "real trending, real hottest, and real promoted" platforms of interest.
First off something we notice is that if one coin "piggybacks" off another coin's user make up a "duplicated whale" phenomena will begin to occur. I am not upset with that, in fact it's a best way possible to reward those that capitalized on acquiring PAL early and other coins that have lead to the acquisition of importance on the newer side chain such as steemleo, that had made their airdrop based on staked token holders of PAL. Again, in the early going this is not necessarily a bad thing as time will sort out these tokens and there is not much to go off of as a viable guideline of should get dropped any given quantity. We of course should come to know these new launches are going to create countless economic ecosystems within the broad platform and they certainly can coexist and in fact thrive like never before.
An interesting evolution from this after individuals that see the same people's vote always counting more than theirs eventually could cause a little resentment. Maybe even rebellion, but in the best way possible: Open market competition that caters to the will of their target constituency of prospective holder. Yes, the prospective holder, a wonderful happening of having the user becoming a commodity in that the given platform is hunting down the will of this user treating them much more as a customer than a subject, or even worse.
Back to the whole 'rebellion' concept of continually repeated user frequency in air drops beginning these coins. In a real market that is created as a survival of the fittest, that will be able to be created at some given point as reliable data and behavior can be monitored there is a real opportunity to generate this alt chain that can grab the user that may feel "orphaned," or involved in these spheres of influence on steemit but perhaps underappreciated or undervalued to a degree. This I think is where there is "hay to made" beyond belief.
Every time we have a new token unveiled and condenser that goes with it we all can look and see what went well, what could use some work, and perhaps what should be sent to the scrap heap. Competitive advantage and dynamic ability to met the will of the masses will be what eventually crowns the champions (yes I meant to pluralize this-not a zero sum game here folks) of New Steemit.
There can be more egalitarian starts for these tokens, allowing the new tokens to not feel "the virtual full-court press effect" by the larger users, which of course is not a bad thing because without their support there would be nowhere near the capital to survive or generate any kind of interest to keep on moving forward. The pillars of SCOT are being developed in my opinion as we speak, which is awe-inspiring to consider. If the success can continue and if there are lessons learned and built upon this structure can be as sound at the cellular level than any social media project that exists today. I think eventually one of these pillars though will definitely include one or more condensers built to best simulate a literal steemit reset, and the ongoing value and influence can be built within just as before but with perhaps other methods that have not been tried or even tested yet.
Users will become apparent that are new or old to the platform for that matter. Communities will grow, develop, prosper, and of course die in some degree but will have more places to take their "refugee steemit status" as there were not before, making this one of the contributing factors of prior horrid retention of the steemit user over the past few years that I have been here to witness that troubled record first hand. Retention needs to be a central priority, and with these programs popping up along with other dapps the future for maintaining a viable user base to make growth even a possibility.
One thing I know is true about the steem based economy that has been built from the steemit platform... We are a resilient bunch. We all have been making it by and continuing on the face of adversity after turbulent time, after continued crushing break, but yet we keep moving on. That is the exciting thing here. We have been like a race of people that have been battered by overwhelming gravity (hmm like Krypton for example) and are now out exploring other planets finding out the old way was brutal, but turned us into a more superior community that is ready to kick the **** out whatever is in its way so that the will of our fellow "patron masses" be met.
