Tournaments have just been launched and with that new ways to play the game! Absolutely awesome!!
I have encountered some things the hard way, and since I can not find any set of rules for SteemMonsters tournaments, I wanted to pass the info on to other players.
Two main things. The first is if you are setting up cards for a battle when your tourney match starts, your will forfeit instantly all of your tourney matches remaining. The dev team may be working on this as we speak, but good to be aware of.
The other thing, is when payouts pay an odd amount like 12 people, tie breakers go to record. If you have the same record and are knocked out the same round, it then goes to who entered the tournament 1st. I have to admit this stung, but that was only because I didn't understand the tiebreakers.......thus the reason for this post.

Hey brother, it's been a loooong time.
We played poker together for a bit like in 2006 or something, I don't remember exactly when it was. I was part of your pilot for the poker school you did webinars for... I think it was like Pro Poker School or something like that? You taught me how to play O8, still one of my favorite games to this day.

Good luck in The Wealthy Gambit tourny starting in a few. My collection isn't near powerful enough to play in that kind of game. I tend to stick to the silver/bronze games maybe a gold here and there.
