I have my doubts that novice player will have 50 Steem or are willing to risk them.
The chance of winning might be actually pretty good and it is a good deal but you need a lot of players to make it happen. I would rather like to see this one big Tournament split up into more smaller one with lower entree fees.

Thanks for that notion - I might give that a shot if (more likely when...) after we see how this plays out.
You could make cheap Satellite tournaments like Poker has :)
This is a great idea and has been in the back of my mind for the many tournament structures I have been thinking up. The only issue that I can see is that people will simply not use the funds in the Satellite tournament to sign up to the official game. A feature added that allows creation of tickets to a targeted tournament would be the solution to that.
I was thinking of it that way.

I never thought of the third option and that is brilliant. We can run that option at current time. I suppose we would have to put a disclaimer that any player who doesn't sign up to the targeted event forfeits their ticket .... *Non Transferable for any currencies.
