I know it's been a little bit since this occurred, but it's time to circle back to the Steem Monsters GAME JAM!!
The Steemgg folks ran their contest and we wanted to wait until that was over. Well! It's over. So, let's get down to the prizes!
THIRD PLACE TIE!
There's a lot of creativity in this area. I think Gates of Steem looks like a neat starting point for a combat scroller.
Steem Dominion is a neat variation of Chess. The game took forever because literally every piece of it was on the blockchain. That's a cool feature, but didn't make it work terribly well. That said, this game engaged my brain the most.
Tap monsters was fun. A little infuriating, but fun. The game mostly involved tapping on a dummy, but I could see this catching on a little if the dummy fought back and beating it tossed you a few cards.
The total prize pool was $100 paid in SBD but since it's a three way tie I'm going to pay each 50 sbd.
SECOND PLACE!
I'm really excited to see a little novella style game pop up in this. Lore Master gets you answering questions about the Splinterlands. The quiz function threw me off a bit as I'm literally the only person who would be able to win this game, but in theory it's great. I'd love to see more short story type games made about our characters over time.

You know this guy. He's Steem famous for his show Hots or Shots. He's got a talented son and a great artist. @jonny-clearwater and team together made Steem Monsters Game Jam Edition. This one is challenging, a full levl, lots of monsters that work with the theme, and a job well done.
Congrats guys. You get the Gold Foil Alpha Chromatic Dragon! Now you just have to split it 4 ways...

Yeah that quiz was killer. I'm thinking of updating it so that some of the answers can be found in-game through exploration. I'm stoked to hear that you folks would like to see more games like this. I had a lot of fun so I'd be super down to make more.
