Wow I was not aware TDV downvoted your post. That's amazing considering how he reacted to berniesanders flagging his post. There's a huge difference between some post undeservedly IMHO getting thousands of dollars being flagged to remove a little reward bloat, versus someone spitefully flagging a post barely making $5. That's really disappointing to see. =/
I know and I think this is part of the problemin Steemit. We have attracted shit-tier celebrities and they brought their followers along them. Not actually a very good thing. We need open minded people to diversify content.
He actually wrote the post in a different way and then edited key parts to make it sound like sarcasm but i guess most people get what they deserve. His laughing at their backs making thousands in the process.
My theory is that whales don't want to be associated with anything controversial. And some may see me poking fun at certain aspects of peoples idiosyncrasies as being hostile or disrespectful towards that person, which is not the intent. I'm very self-deprecating constantly, but I also tend to dish some of that out at my friends and family when they get a bit full of themselves or just when I see an opportunity to poke fun at something.

Lol good observation. I was an anarchist as a kid too! I'm not making fun of anyone for having certain political leanings we all have them and someone will get offended by them but they shouldn't be promoted to the point of making other opinions feel excluded.

It's working just fine. It's just that all those votes are from people with very little steem power. Also, we can now adjust the weight of our votes so even if someone has a lot of steem power, they can still cast votes that only boost a post by a small amount.
Very true. It is so hard to find specific content. Part of this has to be due to tag spamming. I like to look for good photography posts but the vast majority of posts with the #photography tag have nothing to do with photography itself - they are just standard posts that happen to have some images (which may or may not be photographs in them). It seems that people have given up on spamming #introduceyourself and have decided to spam other top tags instead.
