I never thought this day will come, where i will be giving a little recap of how i finally bumped into steemit but thanks to @sndbox for giving us the opportunity through there weekly contest. To know more about this contest, click here. 

Have You ever hated something so much because of the pains they made you pass through and at the end you start to appreciate where it finally led you to??

Well, last year 2017, was a year that ponzi schemes left an indelible mark in the hearts of many Nigerians and also a life changing experience for many of us that joined steemit platform, which i was among the lucky ones.

How It all started 

If any Nigerian is called upon to ask them how they discovered steemit, i can bet you 70% will relate there story to ponzi era. Around 2016 when Nigeria was in recession and the economy was nothing to write home about, what was disguised like a saving grace to many Nigerians especially youths was ponzi schemes.Source

The mother of all ponzi schemes as at then was “MMM”. Back then, if you were not in “MMM” you were viewed as one of those bank owners and politicians spreading panic and propaganda against our beloved “MMM”. In fact, it got to a point when members of the "house of senate and house of representatives" had to do a meeting in Nigeria to abolish “MMM”. But despite there warnings, a lot of people refuse to listen because our Nigerian politicians are known to only make policies for there own selfish interest. Apart from that, they had no solution to the recession problem. Unfortunately, they had Nigeria citizens at heart this time but our greed and quest for money blinded our eyes to see the truth.

Early 2017 

After the collapse of “MMM Nigeria” and the devastating effect it had on a lot of people, the few of us still left standing and the ones who were able to escape the MMM saga ventured to other forms of ponzi schemes like loopersclub, twinkas, get help worldwide, citifunds, speedcoin, questra and lots moreSource.

This new set of ponzi that was introduced in early part of 2017 offered 100%. 200% and 300% return of investment. I had the feelings that this was too good to be “TRUE” but same greed won’t let me be. Well, to cut the story short, I fell again to the trap of ponzi and got bitten badly that i ran out of cash. I had to leave my house to start living with my parents for the main time till things became stable.

Help buddy”. He did his research and gave all the reasons why the scheme will never crash. Unfortunately, the scheme turned out to be another big scam. I finally gave up on anything that has to do with making money online. I had to face my offline business and deleted everything that had to do with ponzi in my phone including the ponzi groups i was part of. But, something still kept me in eurogee’s group. The fact that he was humble enough to apologise to everyone of us for leading us to “Help buddy” and his sincere nature still kept me. He promised to do everything within his power to make it up to us and we should not loose faith in him. Some few weeks later, after the crash of loopersclub, a guy named @eurogee came to our whatsapp group and introduced himself as a ponzi-preneur and told us he has some few reliable ponzi schemes that he will introduced us to. That interested people should meet him up in his webinar that he will be conducting at a later date. I opt in to the whatsapp webinar hoping to make up for my loss. @eurogee introduced us to three different ponzi but among all his favourite was one they called “

Discovery Of Steemit 

Subsequently, he introduced us to several online stuff like buying of cryptocurrencies. A lot of us didn’t really buy the idea considering what we’ve loosed online and the fact that we don’t really understand cryptocurrency.

Anyway, thanks to this weekly challenge for making me see ponzi in a different light now because if it wasn't for ponzi, I don't think I'll be in this great platform called "STEEMIT"

Sometime around july 2017, @eurogee came up with another webinar that rewarded people for writing. At first, i didn’t believe because from my ponzi experience, there is nothing you will join online without any form of payment. It was just to good to be true. I needed to see proof before believing. He showed the group, sample of his earnings he made from previous post. At the end of the webinar, he was able to recruit about 67 of us into steemit, which I happened to be among one of them and we called ourselves .
