You happen to think twice because you were psychologically conditioned to aim for better results, better situations and better resources. But then the other part of your brain hesitates the recommendation, probably thinking that the financial means or budget intended for that upgrade is not on your priority. Think again. Would you rather risk some of your savings or be left behind on the fast-changing pace of our technology? Where is this conversation leading you? Folks, fellow Steemians, friends, I would like to share some valuable upgrades that does not cost that much and is economic-friendly for your tight budget. Upgrading is the process of replacing a product with a newer version of the same product.
In computing and consumer electronics, an upgrade is generally a replacement of hardware, software or firmware with a newer or better version, in order to bring the system up to date or to improve its characteristics.


Chef Jeremy Favia is a celebrity chef formerly known on GMA Network. He hosted a show with other chefs called KA-TOQUE: LUTONG BARKADA. He continued his stardom on TV5 Network and became a resident chef at Healthy Cravings. He is now hosting shows like Alagang Kapatid and Healing Galing. He was also nominated for PMPC Star Awards for TV Best Educational Program Host but unfortunately, he did not won the award.

Even a celebrity chef became curious as to how innovatative it could be to simply add langka to the famous Suman sa Ibos and level up its taste. His research team together with the other staffs were also amazed by the imaginative thinking of the locals of Antipolo. Creating a fusion of taste from two distinct flavors. And the result, a new chef-d'œu·vre. Oops! I just discovered another synonym for masterpiece. 💡

As they bite into a mouthful of the suman, a union of explosive piquancy matches. And the fondness that you will experience infensifies, bit by bit hastily consuming the treat until you fathom that it's all gone now. Your belly is completely filled yet you still seek for another serving. And your mouth can still recall the taste of the suman because it produces an aftertaste of the langka scent. You can never forget this feeling once you allow yourself experiencing it for the first time.


Now let us unfold the secret. Suman plus langka equals new product. The technique used is
FUSION!!!


Ingredients
Glutinous rice
Gata or coconut oil
Asin or rock salt
Langka or jackfruit
Cheese
Tawas or alum powder
Turmeric or luyang dilaw

Procedure
Mix the ingredients, glutinous rice, coconut oil, rock salt, langka and cheese
Slide it in the wrap called dahon ng bule
Prepare a large pot
Boil the wrapped suman in 2/3 amount of water for 30minutes
Add the alum powder and continue boiling
In 2 hours time, add the turmeric and continue to boil
Wait for another hour and turn off the heat

Maria Resurreccion Enriquez also known as "MARENG" is the mother of Aunt Chit Enriquez and Sister of John Benedict's Grandmother Semeona Resurreccion Peneira. She started cooking and selling suman with langka Since 1970's. That is how she became very famous in our town Antipolo City. And because of her delicious special suman with langka, profits started to increase as more tourists indulge themselves wanting to sample the said delicacy. Thus, she gained regular customers and business became more lively. But now she is already dead because of old age. The family recipe is inherited and passed on to generations, maintaining the exclusivity of the product and making history of their family name.

Upgrading does not necessarily mean to rob your pockets. As we feature this article, we believe that it is just and right for someone to choose an upgrade. We deserve something valuable yet economical in our possession. This upgraded merchandise of suman with langka still cost the same. 10pesos per piece and 100pesos per dozen. (current exchange rate is 1PhP = 52.17US$) Wow! Would you believe that? Same amount of money for a free upgrade. That is what we were talking about.

In most certain cases, the change we see is a change for a cause. To change for the better, and to improve oneself.
