FACT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CRACKERS WERE CREATED IN LONDON BY TOM SMITH IN 1847.
Really why? have you ever wondered why these crackers have those holes in them? what are they in them? are those holes solely just for decorations? The holes in these crackers are also known as "dockers" let's find out.
Here are some reasons, and why.
- Crackers won't bake correctly without those holes in them.
- crackers simply won't bake correctly without the holes for the reason that steam could'nt escape during the cooking process.
- holes give crisp to these crackers.
- crisp would not be there without these holes, but how? these holes allow steam to escape during the cooking process giving these delicious crackers the crisp.
- holes avoid crackers from rising or forming a bubble-like structure.
- holes have accurate distance from each other allowing them to cook the crackers perfectly, if the holes are way too near from each other, tendencies will be the crackers will come out dry and hard.
- holes lessen the chance of oil filling the crackers.
-it is because oil just passes thru these holes.
These are the reasons why holes are found in our favorite crackers. Hope you find this blog informative. Godspeed!
