I was able to get my hands on a Cherry Mobile P3 Lite. Actually, I recommended it to our househelp because she was looking for a replacement for her phone. She gave her old phone to her sister in the province because she needed it for college (Google search helps college students in the provinces because it is harder and more expensive for them to go to a computer shop). Anyway, she actually bought one so I tried it out.
The Flare P3 Lite is the smallest and cheapest of Cherry Mobile's Flare P3 line. It's the first local mobile phone manufacturer with Android Go as the OS. Out of the box, the OS installed is an Android 8.0 Oreo Go Edition. This edition of the OS makes low-end devices run the latest Android OS smoothly.
For only P2,999 (USD 57), you get a device with pure Android Oreo Go with a decent camera, USB OTG, and a fingerprint scanner. Don't you think it's a steal? Our helper now enjoy taking photos of the food she cooks. I'm so glad i was able to help her choose a decent device!
