After weeks of talking about and planning for Cavite Meet - Up for Steemians, it finally happened.
The concept that emerged from exchange of comments regarding meet up caravans materialized over burgers, rice platters, clubhouses, and finger foods. All thanks to @steemitph, @dandalion, and @watersnake101.
Artists, bloggers and enthusiasts in and out of Steemit community came in together and brainstormed about the future of Steemit in Philippines and its sub-communities. It was nice hearing testimonials from Steemians who have been on the platform and benefited from it greatly. What's more interesting was them unselfishly sharing their thoughts and their tips on how to make it big. These weren't just hit and miss tips. These are proven and based on analyses run over data collected by @steemitph. Everyone was all ears, because really, who wouldn't want to be earning while fulfilling a hobby, like writing?
Questions that were usually not asked because of fear of being tagged as newbie arose - difference between 50/50 and 100% power up, to use or not a bid bot, helpful tools. Every response thrown by @dandalion were not just answering the viewer's questions, it makes them think what's best for themselves too. They weren't saying we should do what they did as they did but practically giving you ideas how to grow up in this platform.
Although the sun was hiding behind the clouds today, humidity was still crazy. Yes, it's almost summer thus tje hotness, but the event led by @steemitph, @dandalion, and @watersnake101 was made refreshing by an awesome performance of @okaereyes with her version of Dua Lipa's New Rules.
It was capped off with a raffle for the Valkyrie event tickets ran by @luvabi, who graced the event with her presence even at the last minute.
The long-term success of the meet up will only be valid once the vision of being able to help each other within the community transpires. If in time, we can on ourselves support everyone in the platform with minimal aids from fellow Steemians from other countries, we can proudly say we made it! But, meet-up-wise alone, it was a blast! Knowing the faces behind the usernames, hearing their ideas and seeing them smile - success!
It won't stop here. See you fellow Steemians on the next meet up caravans! And upcoming projects (maybe!)
Thanks for reading!
Love,
Jonah (and John)
Very promising and we will make cavite grow!
I don't have the picture of all of us together. Nahiya na kasi ako kay ate haha!
solomot sa invite!!
Thank you for joining us! As with our Malolos meet-up, bitin talaga ang 3 hours. But I will see you around here in Steemit! ❤
It was something I was looking forward to join. It was challenging figuring Steemit on ourselves thus the confidence I had explaining it to friends who just joined was low. The knowledge I gained today I can use to encourage others too!
Thank you for your time and effort and for answering all of John's questions! 😊
Ang galing. Hindi ako mahilig umattend sa mga ganyan. Shy (or snob pag di ko pa matagal na kilala mga tao hehe) ako in person. 😊
Yun iba kasi sa kanila kasama ko din sa office. Kaya keri lang :-)
