You should be able to accomplish the same thing by right clicking on the drive, choosing tools and then clicking on the tools tab, then clicking "Check now". If you're scared of the command line :)

Thanks for dropping by @darth-azrael. That's right, it is a matter of personal preference. Some may prefer the command line because right from there you can set extra parameters in extension with the main command, if needed.
