Baranggay Tiguihan: Visitation in Area

in #steemph7 years ago

This semester we our taking a certain subject called "Social Work Community Education and Training" where we need to conduct a training by ourselves in a different kind of community. And because of this subject our teacher Mam Mayeth decided to group is into five group which consist of six to seven members or people. Each group had been assigned in different town, baranggay and sitio here in Oriental Mindoro.

Our group had been assigned in Sitio Pagkakaisa of Baranggay Tiguihan in Pola. And our expected participants are Indigenous People.

This morning we decided to go and visit the place where we gonna conduct the training. As we travel we experience confusion in different roads and intersection and also walking on steep mountains but Thanks goodness the road or path going up the mountain is concrete.

When we arrive in the community we can not believe the situation there as we did not expect the people to be so civilized. We also did not expect there leader to be that knowledgeable about everything. We also did not expect that the Mangyans (an indigenous group that can be found in Mindoro) there has those beautiful features. They are too beautiful and neat to look. And because of the unexpected instances there are team leader suggest that we must do our best to teach the people there about Leadership and "Gender and Development". We also did not expect the people to be that accommodating as Mangyans our expected to be too shy...

After seeing the whole place we decided to go home (which is going back to school). We finished the visit during lunch so we decided to finished then will gonna eat along the way. We literally eat along the way as we decided to stop in a highway and take our lunch by the side of street. We also decided to visit one of our groupmates house as someone suggest that we should visit there and try to taste there ice cream. And as we go there we eat some pinipig ice cream then take a little break. And then decided to continue our travel going to school.
