As we get closer to the holiday season weekend schedules are quickly getting filled with activities. These are often with people that are really close to our hearts, but rarely get to see in person. The timing of the recently held SteemPH Year-Ender Dinner couldn't have been better. On the 3rd of December in Romulo Cafe, Tomas Morato Quezon City, twenty five Steemians got together for some five hours of fun, catching-up and getting to know each other, and important discussions about interesting topics related to Steemit.
This group photo from @jon24jon24 captured all who were in attendance except for @iwrite and two-thirds of @precise LOL! The photo was taken by a staff of the restaurant in our desire to have everyone in a single photo. Epic fail! :-)
After we've all settled down, and had enough time to get to know those who we've only interacted with in Steemit or our Steemit Philippines discord channel, the program started with a brief introduction from the SteemPH Core in attendance, @precise as one of endorsed witnesses of SteemPH, and @steemitph for @steemph.manila. The amazing host @luvabi, who also organized most of the meetup activities and logistics then transitioned quickly to make sure all of the topics in our agenda will be covered.
In this photo Sndbox Fellows @dreamiely and @steemph spoke about @sndbox. The topics discussed includes what is Sndbox, what it does for individuals and the community, nomination process and how can one be noticed for a possible nomination, the fees involved and the benefits of being a Sndbox Fellow. @dreamiely and @steemitph also took turns answering questions from the deeply interested group. @luvabi and @deveerei recently became Sndbox Fellows themselves.
Dev can be seen speaking about @curie and @bayanihan curation efforts in the photo below. He explained in length some of the most important criteria curators like him are looking for. He also spent time to talk about @utopian-io for which he is one of the moderators.
In this photo @luvabi spoke about @steemgigs. In the extreme right portion of the photo @surpassinggoogle can be seen listening intently. He smiles and nods as Abi did really well in explaining his initiative. Abi browsed through the steemgigs tag as she explains how anyone can offer services as a Steemian Indeed, and search for service provider as a Steemian In-Need using steemgigs.
Terry was also presented an award for Best in Moral Support as shown in the photo below.

The attendees had fun interacting with each other in person like we've all known each other for a long time. We all went home with additional knowledge about important things about Steemit, curation, and the many initiatives that can help support our growth as individuals and a community.

Thanks. I have seen lots of Steemians who were doing the same thing you are doing now; leaving generic comments without exerting effort to really appreciate the work of the content creator. I haven't seen any of them become successful in the end. Most of them ends up with negative reputation in fact.
I do not think it's too late for you yet. All of us have very real potential to succeed in this platform, and I truly wish that for you too. Just try and really engage more (genuinely).
