But I'd hold on to the original logo, I might be good for when you need a logo for small areas, etc.

I always hold on to older designs. And if @jonny-clearwater is extra nice to me, I might even go the distance and do a 2d flat version of the Steempunk logo.

yeah like a properly vectorised one. I think it could look brilliant as well
maybe (hate to pour on too much advice) a simplified icon based on the S would be useful in some areas...

The S already started as a simplified version of the Steempunk version. But I see what you mean. This could for instance totally be used as a favicon or something.
