The intention of this post is to make public the announcement of my new project on the Steem blockchain, a project that excites me and I hope to carry out with the support of all of you.
I hope you can dedicate a little of your time to read it and I thank you in advance for all the comments, UpVotes and Resteems you can give it, because in this way more users will be able to know it and promote it.
My development on the Steem blockchain
I'm @camiloferrua, since I started using the Steem blockchain I've worked constantly on different projects working on design, planning, creative direction, editing and visual communication in general. Until now I have worked with @fundition, @celfmagazine, @futureshock, @actifit, @votomasivo, @cacri, @bateristasvzla, @capybaraexchange, among others... and through the @utopian-io platform I have actively contributed to many others: Steemopoly, The Amanuensis, StemQ, SteemAX, Coogger Python, Minecolonies, Light Steem, TelePost, Steemblr, CoinGuide, Comprendre Steem, Steeditor, Nutmega, Steemit ID Card, Oquotes, Steem Social, Tag Bot, Steem Casino, Steem Assistant, Steemlinked, PyCoin, Steemia, DtubeDaily, to name a few.
In this process I have enjoyed and learned a lot about the blockchain, its projects, communities and needs. I have seen how different dapps have emerged to offer services and entertainment possibilities and this has motivated me to think and write many project ideas that I would like to develop in the blockchain. Until very recently I had not made the decision of which one to choose to start developing first but after much thought I decided to develop a game. Yes, a game that adds value to the blockchain by adding many more users to the platform, a game that already has a worldwide community of players counted in millions who play daily without the intention of getting anything in return more than the experience of testing their ability as a player, a game that can transcend the virtual field of the blockchain and take Steem to other environments.
My approach to the project
At the beginning of this project I had to do a critical analysis of the existing games in the Steem blockchain and it seemed to me that the biggest weakness of these games lies in the fact that people mainly play them for rewards, not because they really have fun playing them. I'm an active user of SteemMonsters and DrugWars, I think they are games that have a lot of inventiveness and to which they have put a lot of dedication and attention. Having said that, I must admit that after a few battles and a few upgrades I don't feel like playing anymore, I still do because at the end of the day there will be rewards to be received. I know that there are many who feel identified with my experience because I have discussed it many times... and this is not a bad thing but I do believe that this aspect of the Steem blockchain games is counterproductive as the games must be played for the pleasure of overcoming the challenges they present to the player's skills, for the enjoyment of making friends in the process and for each day learning from the experience to be a better player.
That's why for some time now I've been building a team to develop my game, the main need at this stage is to have developers able to make it work in the Steem blockchain because my knowledge about programming is very low, and although I can design the UI and UX, the graphic identity, the planning of its functioning, among many other aspects, I could not take it to code to give it life. In this sense I have already had conversations with the @futureshock team and with the developers @swapsteem and @ederaleng, in addition to having the direct support of the @celfmagazine project, known for supporting culture and art through the Steem platform.
I imagine you're wondering what this game is about, well I' ll tell you... this game is not new, it was invented many years ago and almost everyone knows how to play it, the novelty is that when playing it in the blockchain of Steem all the benefits of the blockchain will be transmitted to the game and this will provide advantages and incentives that will make it much more attractive to users who use other platforms.
MY PROJECT IS A PLATFORM TO PLAY CHESS ONLINE
A platform designed to provide a pleasant, fast and simple user experience where the worldwide chess community can enjoy playing and have the chance to win rewards in Steem in addition to other features that add value.
What will users be able to do on this platform?
- To play chess in its different modalities for free.
- To play betting against others who have the same level of game.
- Watch the games of other players.
- Share your games on the Steem blockchain and receive rewards for it.
- Solve daily exercises and receive rewards for it.
- Organize and participate in tournaments.
- Chat online with other players.
- Add new users by referral system and receive rewards for it.
Anything else?
- Learn Chess watching formative videos.
- Read news from the world of Chess.
- Buy Chess related merchandise.
What are the advantages of this game over others in the Steem blockchain?
At the level of playability:
- Only the player's individual ability determines his success in the game.
- Players can't pay to get ahead of other players.
- Antiquity on the platform gives no advantage over other players.
- The number of daily games is not limited by the level of play of the user.
- Very clear game rules and known beforehand by most users.
On a social level:
- It favour the relationship P2P: It facilitates to know people and to make new friends.
- It has the ability to add many new users to the Steem blockchain.
- It links users from other platforms with the Steem blockchain.
At the technical level:
- Minimum technical requirements to play.
- Availability for mobile devices and pc's.
For now, this is all I'm going to say. I suppose this post will generate many doubts and questions. All of them will be answered in the project update post that I will be publishing gradually, so don't hesitate to leave your comments and give resteem.
PS: This project does not have a name yet, so I will leave a small list of names (not very creative) in which I have worked so that you can vote for the one you like the most or to propose a new one.

La intención de este post es hacer de conocimiento público en el blockchain de Steem el nacimiento de mi nuevo proyecto, un proyecto que me emociona y que espero poder llevar a cabo con el apoyo de todos ustedes.

Mi desarrollo en el blockchain de Steem
Soy @camiloferrua, desde que comencé a usar el blockchain de Steem he trabajado constantemente en diferentes proyectos ejerciendo labores de diseño, planificación, dirección creativa, edición y comunicación visual en general. En este proceso he disfrutado y aprendido mucho sobre el blockchain, sus proyectos, comunidades y necesidades. He visto cómo han surgido diferentes dapps que ofrecen servicios y posibilidades de entretenimiento y esto me ha motivado a pensar y escribir muchas ideas de proyectos que me gustaría desarrollar en el blockchain. Hasta hace muy poco no había tomado la decisión de cuál elegir para comenzar a desarrollar primero pero después de mucho pensarlo me he decantado por desarrollar un juego. Sí, un juego que aporte valor al blockchain sumando muchos más usuarios a la plataforma, un juego que ya posea una comunidad mundial de jugadores contabilizada en millones que juegan a diario sin la intención de ganar nada a cambio más que la experiencia de poner a prueba su capacidad como jugador, un juego que puede trascender el campo virtual del blockchain y llevar a Steem a otros entornos.
Mi enfoque para el proyecto
Al iniciar este proyecto tuve que realizar un análisis crítico de los juegos existentes en el blockchain de Steem y me pareció que la mayor debilidad de estos juegos está en el hecho de que las personas principalmente lo juegan para obtener recompensas, no porque realmente se diviertan al jugarlo. Soy usuario activo de SteemMonsters y DrugWars, me parece que son juegos que tienen mucha inventiva y en los cuales han puesto mucha dedicación y atención. Dicho esto, debo admitir que después de unas cuantas batallas y unos cuantos upgrades no me quedan ganas de seguir jugando, lo sigo haciendo porque al final del día habrán recompensas que recibir. Sé que hay muchos que se sienten identificados con mi experiencia ya que lo he conversado en muchas oportunidades... y no es que esto sea malo pero si creo que esta característica de los juegos del blockchain de Steem es contraproducente ya que los juegos deben ser jugados por el placer de vencer los retos que estos presentan para las habilidades del jugador, por el disfrute de hacer amigos en el proceso y por cada día aprender de la experiencia para ser un mejor jugador.
Es por ello que desde hace un tiempo he comenzado a conformar un equipo para desarrollar mi juego, la necesidad principal en esta etapa es la de contar con desarrolladores capaces de hacerlo funcionar en el blockchain de Steem ya que mi conocimiento sobre programación es muy bajo, y aunque pueda diseñar la UI y la UX, la identidad gráfica, el planeamiento de su funcionamiento, entre muchos otros aspectos, no podría llevarlo a código para darle vida. En este sentido ya he mantenido conversaciones con el equipo de @futureshock y con los desarrollarores @swapsteem y @ederaleng, además de contar con el apoyo directo del proyecto @celfmagazine, conocidos por apoyar la cultura y el arte a través de la plataforma de Steem.
Me imagino que se preguntan de qué va este juego, pues les diré... este juego no es nuevo, se inventó hace muchos años y casi todo el mundo sabe jugarlo, la novedad está en que al jugarlo en el blockchain de Steem todos los beneficios del blockchain serán transmitidos al juego y esto le brindará ventajas e incentivos que lo harán mucho más atractivo para los usuarios que usan otras plataformas.
MI PROYECTO ES UNA PLATAFORMA PARA JUGAR AJEDREZ EN LÍNEA
Una plataforma concebida con el fin de brindar una experiencia de usuario agradable, rápida y simple en donde la comunidad ajedrecista mundial pueda disfrutar de jugar y tener la posibilidad de ganar recompensas en Steem sumado a otras funcionalidades que le agregan valor.
¿Qué podrán hacer los usuarios en esta plataforma?
- Jugar ajedrez en sus diferentes modalidades de manera gratuita.
- Jugar apostando contra otros que tengan el mismo nivel de juego.
- Ver las partidas de otros jugadores.
- Compartir sus partidas en el blockchain de Steem y recibir recompensas por ello.
- Resolver ejercicios diarios y recibir recompensas por ello.
- Organizar y participar en torneos.
- Chatear en línea con otros jugadores.
- Sumar nuevos usuarios por sistema de referidos y recibir recompensas por ello.
¿Algo más?
- Aprender Ajedrez viendo videos formativos.
- Conocer noticias del mundo del Ajedrez.
- Comprar mercancía relacionada con el juego.
¿Cuáles son las ventajas de este juego respecto a otros en el blockchain de Steem?
A nivel de jugabilidad:
- Sólo la habilidad individual del jugador determina su éxito en el juego.
- No se puede pagar para aventajar a otros jugadores.
- La antigüedad en la plataforma no brinda ventaja sobre otros jugadores.
- La cantidad de partidas diarias no se ve limitada por el nivel de juego del usuario.
- Reglas de juego muy claras y conocidas de antemano por la mayoría de usuarios.
A nivel social:
- Propicia la relación P2P: Facilita conocer personas y hacer nuevos amigos.
- Tiene la capacidad de sumar muchos usuarios nuevos al blockchain de Steem.
- Vincula usuarios de otras plataformas con el blockchain de Steem.
A nivel técnico:
- Mínimos requerimientos técnicos para jugar.
- Disponibilidad para dispositivos móviles y pc's.
Por ahora esto es todo lo que adelantaré. Supongo que este post generará muchas dudas y preguntas. Todas ellas serán respondidas en los post de actualización del proyecto que iré publicando paulatinamente, así que no duden en dejar sus comentarios y dar resteem.
PD: Este proyecto aún no tiene nombre, así que dejaré una pequeña lista de nombres (no muy creativos) en la que he trabajado para que puedan votar por el que más les guste o para que propongan un nombre nuevo.

Desconozco el entorno de los juegos en Steemit, ya que nunca he participado por falta de tiempo, pero la descentralización tarde o temprano llevará el internet del valor a cada aspecto de la vida. I thought about a project like this just yesterday, after playing chess with one of my friends yesterday at my home, the game ended at a 3-1 win for me. But I have no programming experience, so I just let the thoughts go.
Now hear you are talking about "STEEMChess". I love it.
I think STEEMChess is cool because it promotes our beloved STEEM currency as well as the ancient CHESS game....

Thanks for your comment @sugah, It never crossed my mind to think about people with gambling addiction, but in this case I don't think that can be a problem because it depends on your gaming skills to be able to beat your opponent to win the bet.
Normally people with addiction to gambling are related to games that are determined by luck, in this case is very different.
But I am very grateful for what you have said because it makes me consider new aspects that I had overlooked.
Está idea me encanta @camiloferrua, ampliar la plataforma de juegos con un juego cerebral, lleno de tácticas e ingenio y sobre todo mundialmente conocido como lo es el ajedrez suena prometedor, nunca he jugado ninguno de los juegos de Steemit por falta de interés, pero este si que me llama la atención. Muy buena iniciativa. También estoy desarrollando un juego para esta Red (@radaquest) y me pasa lo mismo que comentas con steem monsters y drugwars; están muy bien pero me han aburrido muy pronto. Espero no cometer esos errores y poder ofrecer algo que garantice más jugabilidad. Estaré al tanto de tu proyecto; de todo se aprende. Mucho éxito!

El ajedrez siempre ha sido un juego de mi interés y ahora verlo en la blockchain de STEEM, es emocionante.

Man, como te dije, este juego me parece una idea genial, es sencilla y puede traer muchos beneficios al blockchain. Cuenta conmigo para conectar con la gente que haga falta, sé que a veces es frustrante llevar a cabo proyectos en STEEM pero hay que intentarlo todo...
